Steve Sclafani,CEO and Founder
Steve's ability to create new opportunities for baseball players nationwide and to develop exposure vehicles for players has revolutionized the player development and recruiting industry. His contacts and strategic partnerships have led the way to Baseball Factory being recognized as the top recruiting service by The National High School Baseball Coaches Association. Steve's scouting ability and penchant for matching players up to the right college baseball programs has lead to over 10,000 Baseball Factory and Team One players playing college baseball, $500 million in scholarships, and over 1,500 players selected in the MLB draft. Steve is a 1993 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he played second base.

Rob Naddelman, President
In 1995, Rob joined forces with his former college teammate and founder
Steve Sclafani to expand and build The Baseball Factory. Under Rob's
direction, The Baseball Factory has grown by over 1000% in the past 10
years. Rob is currently a member of the National Registry of Who's Who in
Executives and Professionals and was written up in Business Week with Steve
Sclafani as successful business leaders on a national scale. Rob is also
the Executive Director of The Baseball Factory's B.A.S.E.-H.I.T. Foundation
which helps at risk youth excel in the classroom by using baseball as an
incentive. The Foundation operates a 10 team interscholastic middle school
baseball and tutoring league in Baltimore City. Rob is a graduate of the
University of Pennsylvania where he was a two time All-Ivy League selection
and competed in the NCAA Division I College World Series Midwest Regional.

Steve Bernhardt, Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations
Steve joined Baseball Factory in 1998 after a five-year playing career in the Colorado Rockies organization. As Senior VP of Baseball Operations, he oversees all Baseball Factory events and instruction. Steve currently serves as an Associate Scout with the Colorado Rockies. He received his B.S. from the University of Richmond where he was an All-Conference player.

Kelly Kulina, Senior Vice President of the Exclusive Program
As Vice President of the Exclusive Program, Kelly is in contact with hundreds of colleges, helping to find the best fit for each Exclusive Player in Baseball Factory. Kelly is a former Associate Head Coach and recruiting coordinator with the University of Maryland. As a former recruiting coordinator for ten years in the ACC, Kelly has vast contacts and is widely respected throughout the nation. Along with the contacts that Kelly has gained from being a recruiting coordinator, is the considerable knowledge of the rules and regulations of entering into a college baseball program. He will be able to provide the guidance and information for the Exclusive Player to be eligible to play college baseball. From 1989 to 2000, he coached 46 players who were drafted by major league baseball, two of which were drafted in the first round, including Philadelphia Phillies' pitcher Eric Milton. He also coached at Palm Beach Community College and Jacksonville University, where he played his collegiate baseball.

Rick Sofield, Vice President of the Exclusive Program and Player Personnel
Rick Sofield served as the field coordinator for the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, Los Angeles Dodgers and Montreal Expos and is a former AAA Manager for the Colorado Rockies. Sofield also coached at the college level serving as the Head Coach for the University of Utah and the Assistant Coach at the University of South Carolina. Sofield is a former first round pick in the major league draft for the Minnesota Twins and boasts three years of big league playing experience. Sofield will work in the Exclusive Program with a concentration on players from the West Coast. Rick will also continue to work select Baseball Factory and Team One player development events throughout the year.

Matt Schilling, Senior Director of On-Field Instruction, Exclusive Program Training Director
Matt graduated from Coastal Carolina University, where he was an All-Conference and All-State player while being voted the fourth best second baseman in the country by the Smith Award Group which selects the national player of the year. After his playing days, Matt coached at Coastal for five years, helping them reach the top 25. He is also a former Associate Scout with the Atlanta Braves. Matt handles all on-field elements, such as one-on-one training, and videotaping.

Clint Hurdle, Hitting Advisor to Baseball Factory, Major League Baseball Manager
Clint officially joined Baseball Factory as the hitting advisor in May, 2002. Clint has coached professionally since 1988 and has been with the Colorado Rockies organization since 1994. He served as the club’s roving hitting instructor from 1994-1996, 1st base coach from 1997-1998, and hitting coach from 1998-2002. Clint was promoted to the position of Manager during the 2002 season. During his first four seasons with Rockies hitters, the club has established the NL club home-run record (239 in 1997), compiled the NL's top two club averages in 70 years (.294 in 2000 and .291 in 1998), the league's most base hits since 1930 (1,664 in 2000), and in 1999 established NL records with 2,696 total bases and 567 extra-base hits, each the highest league marks since 1930. Clint was a high school batting sensation himself and was drafted in the 1st round by the Kansas City Royals where he went on to play ten seasons, highlighted by a .417 batting average in the 1980 World Series.

Jim Gemler, Director of On-field Sessions
As the Director of On-field Sessions, Gemler will work to schedule, organize and execute all B.A.T.S., Rookie and National Tournament Team Tryouts across the country. Gemler will work to secure top-notch former college coaches, professional scouts and former professional players to work at each event. Gemler's coaching experience includes stints at the University of Akron and most recently at Pennsylvania State Behrend. Gemler's playing career included a stop at the University of North Carolina - Asheville before he transfered to the University of Akron. He received numerous accolades while at Akron including Preseason All Mid-American Conference candidate, Collegiate Baseball "Top Prospect," Mid-American Conference All Academic Team and Akron's Defensive Player of the Year.

Dan Mooney, Baseball Factory Scout
Dan serves as a part time scout He works alongside Jim Gemler, the Director of On-Field Sessions, to oversee all the National Tournament Team Tryouts. Dan split his collegiate career as a catcher between Brevard Junior College and North Carolina State University where he was a two-time All-ACC performer. Dan played professionally in the Boston Red Sox organization before being injured at the double-A level.

Justin Roswell, Director of Player Identification
Justin has been with the Baseball Factory since 2001 serving in the scouting, event coordination, and player development departments. He helps with the on-field sessions and assists Steve Bernhardt (Exec VP of Baseball Operations) with day-to-day baseball operations. Along with his baseball operational duties, he recruits and selects players for regional Under Armour National Tryouts and Team One Showcases.

Jim Spooner, Assistant Personal Recruiting Director for Underclass Exclusive Players
Jim is the former Head Coach at the University of West Florida where he won over 800 games in 22 years taking them to the NAIA World Series before they became a Division II powerhouse. Jim also coached at Edison Community College where he played his college ball before transferring and playing at Florida State University. Jim will communicate on the phone with underclass Exclusive players on a continual basis.

Keith Madison, Exclusive Program Advisory Board
Keith is the former Head Coach at the University of Kentucky where he served for 25 years before stepping down in 2003. He left the school as the third-winningest coach in SEC history with 737 victories, behind only legends Ron Polk and Skip Bertman. Keith coached 85 players that were either drafted or signed professional baseball contracts, 14 of whom went on to play at the Major League level. In addition he coached 44 All-SEC players, 9 All-Americans and 89 Academic All-SEC players. Keith led the team to the NCAA Tournament in 1988 and 1993 and set the school record for wins in a season with 41 victories in 1991. Keith was also recognized in 1995 when he was elected by his peers to serve as the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) vice-president. He also went on to serve as the ABCA president in 2000. Keith has also worked with USA Baseball, serving as the pitching coach during the summer of 1999. Keith will work with the Exclusive staff to help expand the company's contacts in college and professional baseball, as well as helping to place our current Exclusive players into college. |
