As the BASE-HIT Foundation continues to thrive and grow in Baltimore City, Baseball Factory is launced nationwide.

Baseball Factory
formalizes its training and college recruiting service by creating the B.A.T.S (Baseball and Academic Targeting Service) Program.

Baseball Factory launches its programs nationwide and reaches 1,011 players representing 46 states.

Baseball Factory is featured on CNN because over 90% of players are successfully placed in college baseball programs.

1998

Baseball Factory introduces the Rookie Program, designed to assess and train players ages 13 through 15. This program was designed by pro scouts to build solid fundamentals at a younger age.

Diamond Baseball and Louisville Slugger join the team as sponsors of the B.A.T.S. program.

1999

The National High School Baseball Coaches Association recognizes Baseball Factory as the number one recruiting service in the country.

$20 million in college scholarship money is offered to Baseball Factory players.

2000

Baseball Factory moves to its new facility in Columbia, MD, featuring batting cages and a pitching tunnel in its training area.

Baseball Factory's All-American program is moved to the number one spring training facility in the country, Dodgertown (home of the L.A. Dodgers). The All-American weekend is attended by future big leaguers including David Wright (New York Mets), Gavin Floyd (Chicago White Sox) and James Hoey (Baltimore Orioles).

Baseball Factory is featured in Business Week as one of the top, young sports marketing companies that has expanded while improving its level of personalized services and credibility with college coaches nationwide.

2001

Baseball Factory and the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF) announce a three-year partnership.  Baseball Factory is the only college recruiting service in the nation that is partners with the NABF.

Baseball Factory's first Rookie All-American team is unveiled at Dodgertown.

Over 100 Baseball Factory players are selected in the major league draft.

Baseball Factory rebrands itself and launches a new web site to better serve players and parents.

Colorado Rockies Manager Clint Hurdle comes on board as the Hitting Advisor to Baseball Factory.

Baseball Factory introduces the PUMA Pack to players at various player development events.

Baseball Factory hosts first national tryout in an effort to identify the best players from across the country.

2004

Baseball Factory and the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF) exercise a two-year option to extend their exclusive partnership through 2005.

Baseball Factory acquires Team One Baseball, the leading showcase company in the nation.  Every year, Team One hosts four regional showcases and a national showcase with over 500 high-level prospects.  Entering 2004, these showcases have produced over 80 major league players and more than 400 College World Series participants.  Baseball Factory is now able to provide players with the best in showcase opportunities through the Team One division.

2005

Baseball Factory announces a one-year partnership with Baseball Express, the leading baseball and softball equipment supplier in the nation.  Baseball Express serves as the official catalog and e-commerce partner for all Baseball Factory players’ equipment and gear needs.

Baseball Factory announces the inaugural Baseball Express Cape Cod High School Classic.  This game features the 36 best rising high school seniors and juniors in the nation.  The inaugural game features 17 future draft picks including five first rounders and six players taken in the first 50 overall picks of the 2006 amateur draft. 

ESPNU telecasts the inaugural Baseball Express Cape Cod High School Classic.  The event is telecast live and re-aired numerous times.  Baseball Factory East defeats Team One West in the first annual game, 5-1.

2006

Baseball Factory and the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF) extend their exclusive partnership through 2008.  Baseball Factory continues to serve as the only college recruiting service partnered with the NABF.

Baseball Factory is featured in the New York Times in an article titled, “The Athlete’s Edge: College Hopefuls Reach Out to Recruiting Services.”

Baseball Factory becomes the premier Scouting Partner for Baseball America, the leading source in the nation for in-depth articles on high school, college, minor league and major league baseball players.  Baseball Factory’s scouting staff provides Baseball America with detailed scouting reports on the thousands of players we see throughout the year.

Baseball Factory launches Baseball University the first online, distance learning program in the sports industry designed to increase the overall baseball knowledge of players, parents, coaches and baseball enthusiasts worldwide through professional digital video, educational lectures and detailed written materials. Baseball University is sponsored by Baseball America and endored by the NABF.

Baseball Factory and Baseball Express renew their partnership for an additional two years, extending the relationship through 2008.

The Baseball Express Cape Cod High School Classic is web cast live on MLB.com.  In addition, the game is re-aired numerous times on ESPNU.  Team One defeats Baseball Factory 6-3.

Baseball Factory announces a multi-year partnership with Mattingly Baseball.  Mattingly Baseball serves as the official baseball bat of the Baseball Factory.  Mattingly Baseball is quickly becoming recognized as an industry leader in the development and marketing of innovative, high quality baseball and softball products and home to the patented V-Grip™ technology.

Baseball Factory presents Andrew Miller (UNC/Detroit Tigers) with the national College Player of the Year Award at the annual Baseball America Gala.  The gala takes place yearly at the Major League Baseball Winter Meetings. CEO Steve Sclafani represents Baseball Factory and presents the award.

2007

Baseball Factory announces a multi-year partnership with Under Armour.  Under Armour will serve as the title sponsor for various Baseball Factory and Team One events including:  the Under Armour All-America Tournament, the Under Armour National Tryouts, the Under Armour National Teams, the Under Armour National Training Camps and the Under Armour Showcases.

Baseball Factory announces a partnership with the Potomac Financial Group, a leader in financial planning and advising. Potomac will work with the top Baseball Factory and Team One players to help them plan for future financial success during the transition from high school and college on to the professional level.

2007

Baseball Factory launches the "Ask Doug" segment. Former Major Leaguer Doug Glanville answers questions and talks about the game of baseball as he sees it.

Baseball Factory and Under Armour announce the first Under Armour All-America Game. The game will take place at historic Wrigley Field. The game was played in August in front of over 2,000 fans and over 90 scouts.

Baden Sports named Official Baseball of Baseball Factory. In addition, Baden Sports will serve as the official baseball of the Under Armour All-America game, powered by Baseball Factory.

Baseball Factory's Steve Bernhardt, Executive VP of Baseball Operations, is special MLB draft consultant on ESPN Radio.

21 first round draft picks from the 2008 MLB First Year Player Draft were involved with Baseball Factory, from scouting to player development to showcasing.

1 in 4 College World Series players participated with Baseball Factory/Team One

Baseball Factory alumni take home the bronze medal in the 2008 Summer Olympics. Until a new vote this will be the last Olympic Games where they compete in baseball.

Baseball Factory receives "Best of Local Business" Award. Baseball Factory was awarded the Sports Promoters, Managers & Recruiters Award by the United States Local Business Association (USLBA).

2007

Baseball Factory's Steve Sclafani and Kelly Kulina are featured speakers at the 2009 World Baseball Coaches' Convention.

Little League® International and Baseball Factory form Strategic Partnership. Little League® International has named Baseball Factory as the Exclusive and Official Player Development Partner of Little League® Baseball. The organizations will work together to provide Little League members with new opportunities to develop their skills and increase their success both on and off the field.

Baseball Factory alumni represent four countries at the 2009 World Baseball Classic. The United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Domincan Republic all had alumni representing their countries.

27 First Round Draft Picks from the 2009 MLB Draft were Involved with Baseball Factory, from Scouting to Player Development to Showcasing. Including seven players from the 2008 Under Armour All-America Game, powered by Baseball Factory. Also, 5 out of the first 10 picks were Baseball Factory alumni.

Diamond Sports named Official Baseball of Baseball Factory. In addition, Diamond Sports will serve as the official baseball of the Under Armour All-America game, powered by Baseball Factory.

Baseball Factory turns 15. Baseball Factory and Team One have produced over 2,500 drafted players and over 215 Major League players. Furthermore, over the last 15 years Baseball Factory's prestigious college recruiting programs have placed over 30,000 players into college with over $500 million in scholarships.

American Legion and Baseball Factory form Strategic Partnership. The partnership will provide American Legion members with instructional camps, showcases and baseball clinics to supplement their experience with their local American Legion team. 

14 Baseball Factory Alumni are selected to play in the Major League All-Star Game. Six of the 14 started the game including: Roy Halladay, Ryan Braun, Josh Hamilton, David Wright, Mark Teixeira and Aaron Hill.

Over 250 Baseball Factory players are selected in the MLB First Year Player Draft.

Louisville Slugger Named as Official Bat and Fielding Glove of Baseball Factory. In addition, Baseball Factory has named Louisville Slugger as a secondary sponsor of their tournament and youth divisions.

Baseball Factory alumni claim four of the top five spots in the voting for the American League Cy Young.

Baseball Factory and the Taylor Hooton Foundation form a Strategic Partnership. Taylor Hooton Foundation will help deliver an anti-steroids message to Baseball Factory players and families with educational information on the dangers of anabolic steroids and other appearance and performance enhancing drugs.

2007

Baseball Factory and Little League International® proudly announce the first Little League Experience, where players get a chance to train on the same fields where the annual Little League Baseball World Series is played.

American Legion and Baseball Factory announce the development of College Prep Super Regionals to be held at each American Legion regional site.  The events included professional scout evaluations and college recruiting question and answer sessions to help players fulfill their aspirations to play college baseball.

Over 330 Baseball Factory alumni are selected in 2010 draft, including the top four overall picks and at least one former Factory player heading to each of the 30 Major League teams.

11 Baseball Factory Alumni are selected to the 2010 MLB All-Star Game at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, including Roy Halladay, Troy Tulowitzki, Josh Hamilton, and CC Sabathia.

Baseball Factory holds the first annual Kelly Kulina Classic in honor of the late Kelly Kulina.  The event featured six of the top travel teams in the Mid-Atlantic region with donations benefiting the Kulina Children’s Education Fund.

100+ scouts and college coaches attend the 2010 Under Armour All-America Game, powered by Baseball Factory.  All 30 MLB teams were represented with many teams sending multiple representatives to check out the nation’s top high school baseball players.

Baseball Factory, the Official and Exclusive Player Development Partner for Little League® International, conducted various hitting challenges during the Little League® World Series.  Top performers from the challengers were posted on Facebook.  Over 3,000 players participated during the span of the Little League® World Series.

Maryland Orthopedic Specialists named as official sports medicine provider for Baseball Factory to educate players and families on common sports medicine issues, including injury prevention strategies and rehabilitative techniques.

A total of 40 Baseball Factory and Team One alumni represent the eight MLB teams in the 2010 postseason.  Some of those players included Mark Teixiera, B.J. Upton, Delmon Young, Josh Hamilton, Jay Bruce, Roy Halladay, Brian McCann and Pat Burrell.

Baseball Factory teamed up with Roberto’s Kids, an international non-profit organization, and the Pittsburgh Pirates to host an equipment drive that sent donated baseball gear to underprivileged communities around the world.
