| Russell has an ideal pitcher's frame and is a quality athlete on the mound. He has a clean arm stroke that results in consistent low 90s velocity reaching 94 his last few spring outings. He adds in an outstanding slider and a change-up to retire hitters. In addition, Russell has good bloodlines, as his father is a former White Sox minor league pitcher.
