Dear Steve and Rob,

I am finally getting a chance to write to you. Yes, life has gotten pretty hectic in my world. Needless to say I just wanted to thank you for all of your efforts that you have taken with Patrick over these years. I myself can't even believe it has been four already, time does fly. That saying is true... enjoy your kids, they do grow up so fast. I will never forget that first day when you guys asked Pat to come down to the Washington area for an evaluation and took off with him. I'm sure you don't remember, but he was such a little runt! (You know that cage jacket you gave him a year and a half later meant more to him than what you will ever know. He still wears and values it... that's why he wanted an XL) It's funny, Matt and I every once in a while, when Pat and I are down your way, will rewind his hitting video to the beginning and get a chuckle. Who would have thought that skinny little thing would grow into what he has become. By the way, as if you didn't know it, Matt is one of your Rocks. Never loose him, his worth is beyond what words can say. I bet you have quite a library of some if these kids he/you instruct and promote. In my eyes, they are priceless. It hopefully gives you the opportunity to occasionally sit down to look back on what you started and see just what you have become and have accomplished over these few short years. It's pretty impressive. But, don't ever loose sight of your roots from where you came. That is one of the keys to true personal success in life.

The exclusive program, great experience for a parent of a college bound athlete, as I call it, you educated me well. I will never stop learning about this and never stop sending good ball palyers your way. You have taught me to try to never let a student athlete that I am involved with be taken advantage of. It has been interesting being a "mom" in a mans world. I appreciated you guys being around, I entered this totally oblivious about the game/world of baseball, but now I can hold a conversation and keep up with the best of them. Thanks.

Just finding the right words of thanks is very difficult. Thanks for sticking with and putting up with Patrick and myself through the "good and the difficult" times. Thanks for seeing the athlete that Pat could and did become, and providing him with the environment, instruction, and nurturing that he needed to become the young man that he has evolved into: A great and respected athlete on the field and an outstanding, valued, and mature individual off. You have blessed him by introducing him to so many incredible people along his journey, it is such an honor to be able to say that some of them have become true friends that will always be there for him. You guys are part of the pieces of the puzzle that have helped develop a strong foundation for Pat to continue building his future on... As we put it, when he is finished having fun, he is going to be a great college coach someday. He has had, and continues to have fantastic teachers.

So as one chapter is about to close, another one might open soon for Pat's brother Todd. We will see... a step at a time. I wish you many, many years of success and happiness. I hope you continue doing what you love. You have a good thing going, keep it up. Take care.

Sincerely,
Cathy Hart
