As a shortstop for his team, Rolando has amassed a variety of accolades including MVP at the East Cobb World Wood Bat, First Team All-State in 2006, and Second Team All-State in 2007. To date, his best high school performance occurred when he hit two home runs during the regional championship. Rolando hopes to play professional ball for the New York Mets, much like his cousin, Tony Fernandez, who played for the Mets as well as six other teams during his 17 year Major League career. Rolando looks forward to the experience at the Baseball Express Cape Cod Class, presented by Under Armour. He has verbally committed to the University of Miami and will begin his college baseball career in the fall of 2008.
