| More on Daniel ...
Daniel is a rising senior at James River High School in Virginia. As a right-handed pitcher, Daniel has been dealing with tendonitis throughout the year. Despite the injury, he managed to finish out the season with a record of 5-1 and reach a velocity of 96mph on his fastball. His best performances this season were a two-hit shutout and 22 scoreless innings at the beginning of the year. The highlight of his career has been being selected a year early for USA Baseball. Daniel considers his velocity his greatest strength but hopes to improve the consistency on his curve. Daniel looks forward to attending Wake Forrest in the fall of 2008, where he has verbally committed, but hopes to get drafted in earlier rounds upon graduation. Due to his injuries, Daniel will be in attendance at the Baseball Express Cape Cod Classic, presented by Under Armour, but will not participate in baseball activities. |
