| More on Tyler ...
Tyler is a shortstop for Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. With the team’s 21-9 record for the season, he had an average of .352 with 16 stolen bases. His best game of the season included going 3-4 with three doubles. Tyler believes his greatest strength is his fielding skills especially his speed, but hopes to improve his hitting consistency. The highlight of his baseball career has been winning gold for the USA Youth National Team. He models his game after Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter and hopes to also play in the Major Leagues, especially for the Anaheim Angels. In fact, professional athletes run in the family: Tyler’s great uncle, Bert Haysom, pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates. As an honor roll student, UCLA and Stanford have heavily recruited Tyler. He looks forward to the exposure of the Baseball Express Cape Cod Classic, presented by Under Armour as well as the ability to play against other top players. |
