13 Baseball Factory Alumni Selected to MLB’s Mid-Summer Classic
Major League Baseball has announced the rosters for the 2012 MLB All-Star Game and Baseball Factory is excited to have 13 alumni selected to play in this year’s Mid-Summer Classic! Josh Hamilton, Prince Fielder, Jose Bautista and Mike Napoli will start the game after receiving the most votes at their position. With the offensive power they provide, they will most likely make-up the heart of the American League order. The AL will also have Ian Kinsler on the bench, along with the arms of Justin Verlander and Chris Perez out of the bullpen. CC Sabathia was also selected to the team but he will be unable to play due to an injury. Across the field in the visitor’s dugout, the National League will have exceptional hitting off the bench including Baseball Factory alumni David Wright, Ryan Braun, Jay Bruce and Bryce Harper. The NL will also have shutdown reliever Huston Street available to enter the game late.
We congratulate all these players and look forward to the 83rd All-Star Game set to take place Tuesday in Kansas City, MO!
