2009 UNDER ARMOUR PRE-SEASON ALL-AMERICA TOURNAMENT HONORABLE MENTION – 2009 GRADUATES

Below is the list of 2009 graduates that deserved honorable mention based on their performance at the Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament, powered by Baseball Factory.  Players are listed alphabetically.

Paul Baggett – RHP, 6-2/205, R/R, 2009, Milton HS – Jay, FL
Broad shouldered right hander with arm strength, fastball reached 91 despite his arm not feeling 100%. Signed with Tallahassee Community College.
 
Camilo Baldelomar – SS, 6-0/175, R/R, 2009, South Miami HS – Miami, FL
An athletic middle infielder with smooth defensive actions, soft hands and a solid right handed swing.
Coleman Barron – OF, 6-3/180, R/R, 2009, Lake Highland Prep School- Orlando, FL
A lean, athletic outfielder with arm strength and a good hitting approach. Verbally committed to Davidson College.
 
Travis Chalk – RHP, 6-0/190, R/R, 2009, Hanford HS – West Richland, WA
Fastball had late life and velocity up to 87, delivery was repeatable and he showed the makings of a quality breaking ball.
Justin Creel – SS, 5-11/185, R/R, 2009, Central HS – Greenwell Springs, LA
An athletic and talented all around player with five above average tools. Signed with University of New Orleans.
Eric Folkers – 3B, 6-1/190, R/R, 2009, Lake Washington HS – Redmond, WA
Hitting ability and arm strength stood out most, though his other tools and his body were also above average.
Joe Hudson – C, 6-1/190, R/R, 2009, Tampa Jesuit HS – Odessa, FL
Arm strength and right handed raw power are his main highlights. Signed with Notre Dame University.
 
Billy Logan – C, 6-0/195, R/R, 2009, Greenup County HS – Greenup, KY
A talented defensive catcher with arm strength and life in his feet both to throw and block, also showed a solid right handed stroke.
 
Romer Portes – OF, 6-0/190, R/R, 2009, Colonial HS – Orlando, FL
Athletic and solidly built with 6.94 speed, near Major League average raw power and a solid hitting approach.
Mark Robinette – OF, 6-1/195, R/R, 2009, Union HS – Tulsa, OK
Featured a balanced right handed approach with quick hands and power to both gaps. Fastball 84-87, slurvy breaking ball up to 75.
Andre Rodriguez – OF, 6-1/190, R/R, 2009, Everglades HS – Pembroke Pines, FL
Showed excellent outfield arm strength along with a knack for finding the barrel, has power potential as well.
Dillon Smith – OF, 6-0/180, R/R, 2009, Mundelein (IL) HS
A projectable player with 6.82 speed, quick hands and a solid right handed swing, along with solid defensive skills and arm strength.
Benjamin Taylor – OF, 6-1/185, R/R, 2009, Plano (TX) HS
Showed the ability to square up and drive balls in both BP and game at bats, along with solid speed and outfield arm strength.
Luke Voit – C, 6-3/220, R/R, 2009, Lafayette HS – Wildwood, MO
A broad, solid and strong catcher with arm strength and advanced catch and throw abilities. Signed with John A. Logan College.
Parker Webster – 2B/3B, 6-1/190, R/R, 2009, Alta HS – Sandy, UT
A talented offensive player with a short swing and power potential along with 6.97 speed. Defensive skills more suited for corner infield position.
