2012 Under Armour All-America Game Announced

THE 2012 UNDER ARMOUR ALL-AMERICA BASEBALL GAME RETURNS TO WRIGLEY FIELD ON AUGUST 18TH

Final Roster of Top High School Baseball Players Will Be Showcased Live on MLB Network

Baltimore, MD – Under Armour, Inc. (NYSE:UA) the Baltimore, MD-based leader in sports performance apparel, footwear and accessories, today announced that the 2012 Under Armour® All-America Baseball Game, powered by Baseball Factory, will be played at Wrigley Field on Saturday, August 18. This will mark the fifth year of the Under Armour All-America Game.  The game will air live nationally on MLB Network and will showcase 36 of the best high school players, competing in an American vs. National team match-up. The players are selected by a committee of Baseball Factory scouts.

The Under Armour All-America Baseball Game is the culmination of a four-day baseball celebration, including a formal workout for Major League Baseball (MLB) scouts and a homerun derby.

While the roster for this year’s game is not finalized, the following players have been selected by Baseball Factory and have committed to participate in the 2012 Under Armour All-America Game:

Over the past three years, 91 of the 108 players from the Under Armour All-America Game were selected in the MLB Amateur Draft including 20 first round picks.  Top players that went on to sign professional contracts include Bubba Starling (2011 No.5 Overall Pick, Kansas City Royals); Brandon Nimmo (2011 No.13 Overall Pick, New York Mets); Brian Goodwin (2011 No.34 Overall Pick, Washington Nationals); Jacob Anderson (2011 No.35 Overall Pick, Toronto Blue Jays); Dante Bichette, Jr., (2011 No.51 Overall Pick, New York Yankees); Hudson Boyd (2011 No.55 Overall Pick, Minnesota Twins); Jameson Taillon (2010 No.2 Overall Pick, Pittsburgh Pirates); Kellin Deglan (2010 No.22 Overall Pick, Texas Rangers); Donovan Tate (2009 No.3 Overall Pick, San Diego Padres); Zachary Wheeler (2009 No.6 Overall Pick, San Francisco Giants); Jacob Turner (2009 No.9 Overall Pick, Detroit Tigers) and Tyler Matzek (2009 No.11 Overall Pick, Colorado Rockies).
