2013 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament: Top 5 2016 Grads

With over 390 players participating in the 2013 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament, powered by Baseball Factory, our scouts were treated to players from across the country that had many tools from blistering foot speed, to rockets for arms on the mound and behind the plate. While we cannot honor everyone that attended we did want to highlight a few players that stood out.

The following are the Top 5 2016 Grads from the 2013 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament.

JJ Bleday | LHP/OF | Titusville, PA | Titusville
JJ was extremely impressive at this event. It is not often that we see a freshman with the combination of tools, body and makeup that he possesses. He is in total control on the mound, filling up the strike zone with his three-pitch mix. His arm is clean and he makes it look easy with a fastball that already touches 84 and will continue to jump as he matures. His curveball serves as a put-away pitch and his change keeps hitters honest. This 6’3” LHP is definitely a prospect to watch.
Spencer Steer | 3B/SS | Long Beach, CA | Millikan
Spencer is a polished young infielder with a solid all-around game. Defensively, he shows quick, efficient feet with soft hands and an accurate arm with carry. His tools and instincts play very well at shortstop. At the plate, he is comfortable and confident in the box. He uses the whole field well displaying a repeatable stoke with occasional pop. Spencer looks to be an outstanding prospect at a premium position.
Trey Roach | C/3B | Argyle, TX | Argyle
Trey is an athletic young catcher who plays beyond his age. He is a leader behind the plate with an excellent feel for the game. His pop times get down in the low 2.0s and will continue to improve, while he already shows advanced receiving skills. At the plate he brings a disciplined approach to each at bat and has a smooth right-handed stroke. He centers it consistently and flashes some power to the pull side. Complete catchers are not easy to find, so expect Trey to be a hot commodity.
Harrison Hart | SS/RHP | Pacific Palisades, CA | Palisades Charter
Harrison is an advanced defensive shortstop with great body control, especially for an infielder his age. He makes all the plays by taking proper angles, showing active feet and utilizing his soft, sure hands. He has plenty of arm strength for the left side of the diamond. At the plate, Harrison is a table setter at the plate with a line drive stroke to all fields. He plays the game the right way and sets the tone that coaches like from their shortstop.
Chris Bashlor | C/3B | Richmond Hill, GA | Calvary Day School
Chris is an exciting young catching prospect. His present strength is on display at the plate as he swings the bat with authority. He uses the entire field well and flashes power that will continue to develop. Defensively, Chris has sure hands, receives well and is solid on balls in the dirt. His throws to 2B are accurate with a clean exchange. Overall, this is a potential impact bat at a premium position.
