2019 Middle Infielders From 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament

Kenny Bell III

Last week, we highlighted standout performers at the catching and corner infield spots from the 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. This week, the middle infielders get some shine with 12 seniors on the list, including five who are currently uncommitted.

Kenny Bell III – MIF | 6’2”/180 | Hammond HS (LA) | Uncommitted

Kenny showed athleticism throughout the event, running a 6.85, gliding around the bases and using his feet well to get into position to field ground balls. His right-handed swing is loose with rhythm and his hands are quick.

Andre Demetral – MIF | 5’10”/170 | Stoney Creek HS (MI) | Uncommitted

A solid all-around player, Andre is smooth and confident in the field with sure hands. His exchange and release are extremely quick and efficient with 88 mph raw arm strength. Andre’s right-handed swing is geared for hard line drives and has bat speed.

Noah Gent – MIF | 5’11”/190 | Grace Christian Academy (TN) | Walters State CC

Noah has present strength that shows with the way the ball comes off his bat. He makes consistent hard contact at the plate and is a dependable fielder with lots of arm (90 mph raw arm strength) in the infield.

Aiden Hart – MIF | 5’11”/165 | Red Oak HS (TX) | Trinidad State JC

Patrick Norman

With impressive measurables across the board (6.90 in the 60, 91 mph arm strength and 89 mph exit velocity) Aiden is an intriguing prospect. He plays hard and shows gap power at the plate and easy, natural actions as a defender.

Anthony Mase – MIF | 6’0”/170 | Buckley HS (CA) | Davidson

Anthony stands out for his instincts and feel for the game. While his workout numbers are strong (90 mph exit velo and 6.89 60 time), he excels when it matters most. Good hands, the ability to run the bases and barrel accuracy stand out.

Patrick Norman – MIF | 6’4”/195 | Central Magnet School (TN) | Uncommitted

A big frame, and big numbers make Patrick a prospect to follow closely. Despite his 6’4” size, he ran a 6.90 and moves well laterally in the infield. His 91 arm strength is plenty for the left size of the diamond, and the registered exit of velo of 93 mph gives a glimpse of the power potential.

Cole Roberts – MIF | 5’7”/150 | Santa Fe Christian School (CA) | Loyola Marymount

Cole is a natural defender in the infield, getting good jumps, showing good range to both sides and finishing plays with on-line carry to his throws (91 mph arm). He also competes well at the plate with a repeatable stroke and good discipline leading to him reaching base 4 of 6 times in the games.

Angel Rodriguez

Aidan Rodriguez – MIF | 5’10”/180 | Yuma Catholic HS (AZ) | Uncommitted

A fairly local product from Yuma, Aidan impressed at the Under Armour Baseball Factory event. He’s an athletic defender with an advanced feel for the backhand and natural actions throughout. At the plate he had a solid batting practice followed by some quality game at bats.

Angel Rodriguez – MIF | 5’5”/140 | Guilderland HS (NY) | Uncommitted

Perhaps no player showed his love for being on the field more than Angel. It’s obvious he can’t get enough baseball and his energy is contagious. Add in that he ran a 6.89, threw 88 mph, recorded an exit velocity of 89 mph and got on base in 5 of 7 plate appearances and you have an interesting uncommitted prospect.

Kyle Sonandres – MIF | 5’6”/140 | West Torrance HS (CA) | MIT

Kyle is a solid all-around player with a high baseball IQ. His coordinated swing leads to hard line drive contact to all fields and he’s a dependable defender in the infield.

Carson Swank – MIF | 5’10”/170 | Riverside HS (VA) | Yale

After an impressive BP session where he showed buggy whip through the zone and made consistent hard contact, Carson went 3-6 in the games with a double and 2 RBIs. He is also a sure-handed infielder with good feel around the 2B bag.

Jacob Wilson – MIF | 5’9”/147 | Staley HS (MO) | Indiana State

The arrow is pointing up on Jacob who showed solid tools across the board and the ability to use them in games. His right-handed stroke is quiet, simple and repeatable allowing him to handle higher level pitching. He also moves well in the infield and has a big arm across the diamond (90 mph raw velo).
