    David Sitton

    Regional Event Coordinator, Texas & Southern Midwest

    A legend in Texas high school baseball, David is the former President of the Texas Baseball Coaches Association and was the Head Coach at Humble High School for 31 years. The field at Humble is now named in his honor. David also spent several years as a batting practice pitcher for the Houston Astros, so you know you will get quality BP when he runs a Baseball Factory session. David oversees events in Texas and the Midwest, evaluating players and utilizing his experience and extensive network of contacts to help Factory players.

    Regional Event Coordinator, Southern California & Southwest

    Having been a Recruiting Coordinator for the University of California-San Diego and a coach in the prestigious Cape Cod League, Chad is used to evaluating and developing talented players. Add in his administrative experience as the Athletic Director at Capistrano Valley High School and Chad has the perfect skill set to coordinate and run Baseball Factory events. He has been doing just that for the last ten years throughout Southern California and the entire Southwest region.

    Patrick Anderson

    National Player Development Staff

    During the spring and summer, Patrick develops future Major Leaguers for the Washington Nationals as manager of the Single-A Hagerstown Suns. In the fall and winter, he develops Baseball Factory players, helping them to maximize their potential while working our events in Florida, Arizona and California. Patrick’s ability to motivate and lead young men is second-to-none, and he does it in a way that is fun for his players. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the field as a former hitting coach in the Kansas City Royals organization and head coach at Hofstra University before joining the Nationals. His time with Baseball Factory goes back twenty years; just after his playing days at Mars Hill College and professionally in the Frontier League.

    Mike Baker

    National Player Development Staff

    Mike has a long history in professional baseball and has been working with Baseball Factory for several years. He has previously served as an international and full-time scout with the Orioles, Yankees, Mets, and Rangers – and most recently was a Major League scout with the Pittsburgh Pirates. In addition to scouting, Mike also held coaching positions with the Orioles & Yankees, as well as the Netherlands Olympic Team.

    Bill Bliss

    National Player Development Staff

    Bill is a former minor league pitching coach with the Philadelphia Phillies. Before joining the Phillies, he was an area scouting supervisor for the Baltimore Orioles. Before his scouting career, Bill was drafted in the third round by the Chicago Cubs in the 1991 MLB Amateur Draft. He spent six total seasons in the minor leagues, spending four with the Chicago Cubs and in the Colorado Rockies organization for two seasons. Bill played his college baseball at Villanova University.

    Dave Burba

    National Player Development Staff

    Dave is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Seattle Mariners, San Francisco Giants, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, and Milwaukee Brewers from 1990 to 2004. In his 15-year major league career, Burba won 115 games, struck out 1,398 hitters, posting a career 4.49 ERA. Burba has since gone on to coaching, becoming pitching coach of the Tri-City Dust Devils (Single-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies) in 2011. Since that time, Burba has served as pitching coach at four other levels of the Rockies organization.

    George Carroll

    National Player Development Staff

    George played in the Toronto Blue Jays organization as a catcher after signing as a free agent out of New York Tech. He graduated Cum Laude from NY Tech where he was a captain of the baseball team. He is currently a minor-league coach in the Toronto Blue Jays organization.

    Carter was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 21st round of the 1994 Major League Baseball Draft out of Manatee Community College. In 2003, Carter was selected to the All-Star Game in a season he became the Devil Rays closer, recording 26 saves that year. Following his playing career, Carter spent time as the pitching coach at the University of South Florida. Carter is currently a pitching coach in the Boston Red Sox Minor League system.

    • Coach Chastine has been with the Factory since 2013, working most of the events in the southwest region, including regional Under Armour Baseball Factory College PREP Tryouts, Player Development events, and with our Under Armour National Tournament Division
    • Played college baseball at Cal Baptist University in Riverside, CA
    • Served as infield coach at Bethesda University for two years and is currently the head coach at Vista Del Lago High School
  • Pat CottrellNational Player Development Staff

    Pat Cottrell

    National Player Development Staff
    • Pat played his college ball at the University of West Florida, then went on to play five years of professional baseball with the Tampa Bay Rays and currently serves as the assistant coach at Pensacola State College
    • Previously served as an assistant nationally ranked University of South Carolina Beaufort and at the University of West Florida, where they won a Division II National Championship in 2011
  • Todd CrossNational Player Development Staff

    Todd Cross

    National Player Development Staff
    • Todd works Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout & College PREP events with our southeast regional crew and works nationally with the Player Development division
    • Played at Virginia HS in Bristol, Virginia, and then went on to play at Emory Henry College
    • He had a coaching stint as an assistant at Holston High School, where they were state runner ups in 2010
    • He is now back at his alma mater, Virginia HS, where they have won state championships in 2014 & 2015, and finished as state semi-finalists in 2016

    Kory DeHaan

    National Player Development Staff
    • Kory is a former Major League outfielder with the San Diego Padres and was a  7th round pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates out of Morningside College in 1997
    • DeHaan brings nearly a decade of coaching to the field, having worked in professional baseball with the Padres & Pirates and has served with the Pirates as a hitting coach, manager, and coordinator

    Don Jamerson

    Regional Event Coordinator, Northern California & Pacific Northwest

    As the Head Coach of St. Mary’s College for six years, Don evaluated, recruited and developed players at the Division I level in the baseball-rich state of California. Combine that experience with his playing background at Cal State University, East Bay and in the minor leagues with the San Francisco Giants, and Don can do it all on the field. He runs Baseball Factory events throughout Northern California and the Northwest and works several player development events as a coach, instructor and scout.

    Jimmy Johnson

    National Player Development Staff
    • Coach Johnson brings nearly 40 years of professional baseball experience to the Baseball Factory, having managed professionally from Class A – AAA with the Colorado Rockies, while also serving as infield, hitting and field coordinator for the organization.
    • Most recently served as the hitting coach for team China during the WBC and has worked with Major League baseball & their facilities in China
    • Played professionally for seven seasons with the Houston Astros and has coached the Senior National Team in Prague
    • Coach Johnson also conducts professional hitting and defensive lessons in the Phoenix area
  • Tripp KeisterNational Player Development Staff

    Tripp Keister

    • Currently the Manager of the Potomac Nationals in the Carolina League
    • Prior to being a manager, he was an area scouting supervisor for the San Diego Padres
    • Head Coach at Wesley College and Delaware State University and an assistant at the University of South Carolina
    • Keister played at the University of Delaware and then in the New York Mets minor league system for four seasons

    Bryan Lewallyn

    • Current Head Coach at Pensacola State College
    • Joined USCB as the assistant baseball coach in August 2010 and was named as the Sand Sharks’ interim head coach in November 2011
    • Before arriving at USCB, Lewallyn was the pitching coach at Northwest Florida State College
    • After leading the Sand Sharks to a school-record 41 wins and their first Avista-NAIA World Series berth in his first season, Lewallyn officially was named USCB’s head baseball coach
    • Attended the Major League Baseball scouting bureau’s scout school program, where he learned the process of evaluating amateur and professional talent
    • Bryan comes from a baseball background; his father Dennis played and coaches professionally still today

    • Minneto is currently a scout with the San Francisco Giants organization
    • Played college ball at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, CA
    • Third Round selection of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1973 MLB Draft
    • Former major league pitcher with the Oakland Athletics from 1978-1981, where he played for legendary manager, Billy Martin

    Assistant National Hitting Coordinator
    • Current assistant head coach at Cumberland University and serves as the assistant national Hitting Coordinator with the Baseball Factory
    • Played collegiately at Cumberland and Jacksonville University
    • Played professionally with the Lake Erie Crushers and the Washington Wild Things (Independent League)

    • Current Head Baseball Coach at Gaither High School in Tampa, FL and part of Baseball Factory’s National Player Development Staff
    • Nelson’s coaching experience includes: associate Head Coach at Belmont University, Cumberland University, University of Tampa and University of South Florida
    • Credited with his ability to develop pitchers and catchers, North helped seven pitchers and three catchers earn All-America honors at Tampa as well as coaching 15 players who were drafted into professional baseball

    As a former Major League player and Division I college coach, Coach “T” is well known as one of the most respected hitting coaches in the country.  Coach T is the Factory Hitting Coordinator, having worked with thousands of young players throughout his time with Baseball Factory. From middle school to high school players, to college and beyond, Coach T knows how to bring out the best in each and every hitter. His information, garnered through an All-American career at Jacksonville University, his journey to the Big Leagues with the Montreal Expos and a coaching stint at JU, is outstanding and his ability to diagnose and “fix” an issue with a hitter makes him a special instructor.

    • Javi has been with Baseball Factory since 2010 and serves as a regional director of Baseball Player Development Events with the Factory, running many of the events in the southwest
    • Played in the Baseball Factory Team One West Showcase in 2005
    • Javi serves as the assistant coach at Chino High School, in Chino, California
    • Early in his coaching career, Javi spent two years at Chino HS before moving on to Diamond Bar High School, and Mount San Antonio College – where he served as the catching coach in Walnut, CA
  • Phil OlsonNational Pitching Scout

    Phil Olson

    National Pitching Scout

    Phil knows a thing or two about saving games, as he was the all-time saves leader for Florida State. He played in many big games over the course of his career, from the Little League World Series to the College World Series to the USA National Team. From teaching kids to calming nerves, to a nasty slider, to ironing out mechanics, Phil is an expert in all things pitching. He also spent some of his career throwing from a low arm slot, giving him the unique ability to work with relievers who already throw from down there, or are making the switch. Phil played professionally in the Mets organization and uses all of his experience to help young pitchers…and always with a smile on his face and an approachable presence.

    Currently an associate scout for the Baltimore Orioles and formerly, a coach at every level of NCAA Baseball, Rich has the unique ability to both evaluate players and teach the game. He has unmatched energy and passion that shows through at every Baseball Factory where he is a scout and instructor. As the former Head Coach at Division I Youngstown State University and Division III LaRoche College, as well as an assistant coach at the University of Pittsburgh and Division II Slippery Rock, Rich knows what it takes to play at every level of college baseball. He’s been instrumental in helping the careers of many young players over the years and continues that today with each Factory player that he encounters.

    • Fall River Herald News awarded Ted with the “Coaches Who Make a Difference” award while he was an assistant at Bishop Connolly High School
    • Has coached in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League with the Bourne Braves and the Wareham Gatemen
    • Current assistant coach at Eckerd College in Florida
    • Director for River City Baseball for 15 years before his time at Eckerd College and coached the USA/Japan International Friendship Series in 1996

  • Kyle RichardsonHitting & Catching Instructor

    Kyle Richardson

    Hitting & Catching Instructor
    • Played collegiately at the University of Notre Dame and was a Big East Academic All-Star in 2013
    • Richardson was named an assistant coach at Division I Coppin State University, working with hitters, outfielders and also as a recruiter in 2017
    • Currently the lead hitting & catching instructor for the Baseball Factory at the Factory Development Institute

    Kevin Riggs

    • Standout player at East Carolina University, drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 1990
    • Spent eight seasons in the minors and was selected to the All-Star Team four times
    • Among the top 10 batting leaders three times and was the Norwich Navigators MVP & Offensive Player of the Year in 1996
    • Riggs began coaching in the Rockies organization in 2007, including two seasons as a manager (2013-2014) and has since moved to the Pittsburgh Pirates as a coach for the Double-A Altoona Curve
  • Rodney SpradlinNational Player Development Staff

    Rodney Spradlin

    • Baseball Factory coach and scout, working with many young athletes for the last eight years, where he runs and coordinates as on-site logistics coordinator Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout, College PREP events in the southeast region and Player Development events across the country
    • Former head coach at William Byrd High School in Virginia where he won a state championship in 1997, compiling a 94-22 record in five seasons
    • Head coach in the Virginia Commonwealth Games for 26 years
    • Former associate scout with the Kansas City Royals
    • Played his college ball at Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, TN
    • In January 2018, Spradlin was inducted into the Salem-Roanoke Baseball Hall of Fame

    • Played college baseball at Chaffey Community College for two years and the University of La Verne for two years where he was a two-time First Time All-Conference All-Region selection his senior year
    • Played two seasons of Independent minor league baseball for the Tijuana Cimarrones and Yuma Scorpions in the Golden League and Fort Worth Cats of the American Association Baseball League
    • Current head baseball coach at Chino High School in Chino, California
  • Brian TollbergNational Player Development Staff

    Brian Tollberg

    National Player Development Staff
    • Pitched four seasons the University of North Florida earning Academic All-American honors in two of those years
    • Following his stellar college career, Tollberg pitched 12 years in pro ball, including nearly three seasons as a starting pitcher for the San Diego Padres
    • Led the Padres in ERA during the 2000 season
    • Played with numerous stars, including Hall of Famers Tony Gwynn and Ricky Henderson as well as being part of several championship teams in the minors
  • Dave TurgeonNational Player Development Staff

    Dave Turgeon

    National Player Development Staff
    • Currently the coordinator of instruction in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization
    • Previously a coach at Boston College, Duke, Connecticut, and most recently Virginia Tech
    • Turgeon played professionally in the Cleveland Indians and Pirates organizations while also spending time in Mexico and Taiwan

    • Attended Long Beach State University, drafted in 2002 by the Chicago White Sox
    • Played in the minor leagues for five seasons, including the White Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Florida Marlins.
    • Has coached, managed and coordinated in the Pirates organization
    • In 2018, Edgar will serve as the Field Coordinator in the Minnesota Twins organization.
  • Mark DanielsNational Scouting & Evaluation Crosschecker

    Mark Daniels

    National Scouting & Evaluation Crosschecker

    Currently an associate scout with the Atlanta Braves and head coach of the six-time State Champion Virginia high school, Mark has worked more Baseball Factory events, and helped more Factory players than anyone on our staff. He’s also spent time scouting for the Cleveland Indians and Arizona Diamondbacks, making him extremely qualified for his current position as the Factory’s Scouting and Evaluation Crosschecker. Mark oversees all Baseball Factory College PREP and National Tryout sessions in the southeast, and he coaches and evaluates at several Player Development events each year, such as the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament.

    Mitch McGill

    Regional Scout

    Mitch has been part of the Baseball Factory since 2013, working specific Player Development events including Dodgertown at Vero Beach, Pirate City, and the Omaha National World Series. After finishing his baseball career at Virginia Intermont College, McGill has been teaching and coaching at the high school and junior college levels in Tennessee, Colorado, and currently North Carolina.

    David Wipkowski

    Regional Scout

    David is a Baseball Factory Regional Scout and is a 1998 graduate of North Hills High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he was an All-Section right-handed pitcher his senior season. He played the next four years at the collegiate level at the University of Akron. Wipkowski has been a Baseball Factory scout since 2003.
