  • Chad AddisonRegional Event Coordinator, Southern California & Southwest

    On-Field Staff

    Chad Addison

    Regional Event Coordinator, Southern California & Southwest

    Chad played his college baseball at UC-San Diego from 1999-2002 before starting his coaching career. Addison joined the UCSD staff as a graduate assistant coach in 2003, later serving as an assistant coach and Recruiting Coordinator from 2004-2006, before being promoted to associate head coach in 2006. Coach Addison also coached with the Brewster Whitecaps of the prestigious Cape Cod Summer league in 2006. Coach Addison has worked with the Baseball Factory since 2008, and has been the athletic director at Capistrano Valley High School since 2012.

  • Patrick AndersonNational Player Development Staff

    Patrick Anderson

    National Player Development Staff

    Patrick works in the Washington Nationals minor league system, now entering his fifth season managing the Single-A Hagerstown Suns and his sixth season managing in the organization overall. He played his college ball at Mars Hill College and then went on to play professionally in the Frontier League. He served for eight seasons with the Kansas City Royals organization as a hitting coach. Patrick also served as a Head Coach at Hofstra University before joining the Nationals organization. His days with Baseball Factory go back to the beginning when the company first was founded.

    Mike Baker

    National Player Development Staff

    Mike has a long history in professional baseball and has been working with Baseball Factory for several years. He has previously served as an international and full-time scout with the Orioles, Yankees, Mets, and Rangers – and most recently was a Major League scout with the Pittsburgh Pirates. In addition to scouting, Mike also held coaching positions with the Orioles & Yankees, as well as the Netherlands Olympic Team.

    Bill Bliss

    National Player Development Staff

    Bill is a former minor league pitching coach with the Philadelphia Phillies. Before joining the Phillies, he was an area scouting supervisor for the Baltimore Orioles. Before his scouting career, Bill was drafted in the third round by the Chicago Cubs in the 1991 MLB Amateur Draft. He spent six total seasons in the minor leagues, spending four with the Chicago Cubs and in the Colorado Rockies organization for two seasons. Bill played his college baseball at Villanova University.

    Dave Burba

    National Player Development Staff

    Dave is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Seattle Mariners, San Francisco Giants, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, and Milwaukee Brewers from 1990 to 2004. In his 15-year major league career, Burba won 115 games, struck out 1,398 hitters, posting a career 4.49 ERA. Burba has since gone on to coaching, becoming pitching coach of the Tri-City Dust Devils (Single-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies) in 2011. Since that time, Burba has served as pitching coach at four other levels of the Rockies organization.

    George Carroll

    National Player Development Staff

    George played in the Toronto Blue Jays organization as a catcher after signing as a free agent out of New York Tech. He graduated Cum Laude from NY Tech where he was a captain of the baseball team. He is currently a minor-league coach in the Toronto Blue Jays organization.

    Lance Carter

    National Player Development Staff

    Carter was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 21st round of the 1994 Major League Baseball Draft out of Manatee Community College. In 2003, Carter was selected to the All-Star Game in a season he became the Devil Rays closer, recording 26 saves that year. Following his playing career, Carter spent time as the pitching coach at the University of South Florida. Carter is currently a pitching coach in the Boston Red Sox Minor League system.

    Jon Chastine

    National Player Development Staff

    Jon has been with the Factory since 2013. He works most of the events in the southwest region, including regional Under Armour Baseball Factory College PREP Tryouts, Player Development events, and with our Under Armour National Tournament Division. He played college baseball at Cal Baptist University in Riverside, CA. He served at Bethesda University as an infield coach for two years and is currently the head coach at Vista Del Lago High School.

    Pat Cottrell

    National Player Development Staff

    Pat played his college ball at the University of West Florida, then went on to play five years of professional baseball with the Tampa Bay Rays. Currently, Pat serves as the the assistant coach Pensacola State College. He was previously at nationally ranked University of South Carolina Beaufort. Pat has also served as an assistant coach at the University of West Florida, where they won a Division II National Championship in 2011.

    Todd Cross

    National Player Development Staff

    Todd played at Virginia High School in Bristol, Virginia, and then went on to play at Emory Henry College. He had a coaching stint as an assistant at Holston High School, where they were state runner ups in 2010. He is now back at his alma mater, Virginia HS, where they have won state championships in 2014 & 2015, and finished as state semi-finalists in 2016. Todd works Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout & College PREP events with our southeast regional crew and works nationally with the Player Development division.

  • Kory DeHaanNational Player Development Staff

    Kory DeHaan

    National Player Development Staff

    Kory is a former Major League outfielder with the San Diego Padres. He attended Morningside College and was a 7th round pick of the Pirates in 1997. He garners almost a decade of coaching in professional baseball with the Padres & Pirates. He has served with the Pirates as a hitting coach, manager, and coordinator.

    Don Jamerson

    Regional Event Coordinator, Northern California & Pacific Northwest

    Don played his college ball at Cal State University Hayward. He was then drafted by the San Francisco Giants, reaching as far as Double-A. He then went on to coach at St. Mary’s for six years and won coach of the year in the W.C.C. Don also managed an 18U team that won two national championships. Don has been with the Factory since 2008. He assists at many Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout & College PREP, Player Development, and showcase events. He is the Northwest Regional Director for the Factory.

  • Jimmy JohnsonNational Player Development Staff

    Jimmy Johnson

    National Player Development Staff

    Jimmy brings nearly 40 years of professional baseball experience to the Baseball Factory. He managed professionally from Class A – AAA with the Colorado Rockies. He was also the infield, hitting, and field coordinator for the Rockies. He most recently served as the hitting coach for team China during the WBC and has worked with Major League baseball & their facilities in China. Jimmy conducts professional hitting and defensive lessons in the Phoenix area. He played professionally for seven seasons with the Houston Astros and has coached the Senior National Team in Prague.

    Tripp Keister

    National Player Development Staff

    Tripp is currently the Manager of the Potomac Nationals in the Carolina League. Prior to this role, he was an area scouting supervisor for the San Diego Padres. He was also head coach at Wesley College and Delaware State University and an assistant at the University of South Carolina. He played at the University of Delaware and then in the New York Mets minor league system for four seasons.

    Bryan Lewallyn

    Bryan Lewallyn is the Head Coach at Pensacola State College. Before returning to his hometown, Bryan joined USCB as the assistant baseball coach in August 2010 and was named as the Sand Sharks’ interim head coach in November 2011. After leading the Sand Sharks to a school-record 41 wins and their first Avista-NAIA World Series berth in his first season, Lewallyn officially was named USCB’s head baseball coach. He also had the opportunity to attend the Major League Baseball scouting bureau’s scout school program, where he learned the process of evaluating amateur and professional talent. Before arriving at USCB, Lewallyn was the pitching coach at Northwest Florida State College. He comes from a long line of baseball background; his father Dennis played and coaches professionally still today.

    Craig Minetto

    National Player Development Staff

    Minetto was a third round selection of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1973 MLB Draft, and is a former major league pitcher with the Oakland Athletics from 1978-1981, where he played for legendary manager, Billy Martin. He played college ball at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, CA. He is currently a scout with San Francisco Giants.

    Brady North

    Assistant National Hitting Coordinator

    Brady played collegiately at Cumberland and Jacksonville University. He played professionally with the Lake Erie Crushers and the Washington Wild Things (Independent). He is the current assistant head coach at Cumberland University and serves as the assistant national Hitting Coordinator with the Baseball Factory.

    Nelson North

    National Player Development Staff

    Nelson played in college at Mississippi, following his playing career he coached multiple collegiate programs. His coaching experience includes: associate Head Coach at Belmont University, Cumberland University, University of Tampa and University of South Florida. Among North’s accomplishments are developing seven pitchers and three catchers who earned All-America honors at Tampa as well as coaching 15 players who were drafted into professional baseball.

  • Talmadge NunnariHitting Coordinator

    Talmadge Nunnari

    Hitting Coordinator

    Coach T currently serves as the Hitting Coordinator for Baseball Factory. He played college baseball at Jacksonville University, where he was an All-American. He was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the ninth round of the 1997 MLB Draft and in 2000, made his MLB debut. He served as the General Manager and Field Manager of the Pensacola Pelicans, a professional Independent League Team. Following his time in Pensacola, Talmadge went back to Jacksonville as an assistant coach and Recruiting Coordinator.

    Javier Ochoa

    Regional Director of Baseball Player Development Events

    Javi serves as a regional director of Baseball Player Development Events with Baseball Factory, running many of the events in the southwest. During the spring season, he serves as an assistant coach at Chino High School, in Chino, California. Early in his coaching career, Javi spent two years at Chino HS before moving on to Diamond Bar High School, and Mount San Antonio College – where he served as the catching coach in Walnut, CA. In his playing days, Javi was a participant at the Team One West Showcase in 2005. He played collegiate baseball at Azusa Pacific University. Ochoa has been working with Baseball Factory since 2010.

  • Phil OlsonNational Pitching Scout

    Phil Olson

    National Pitching Scout

    Olson pitched collegiately at Florida State from 1993-1995, playing in the College World Series twice. He was drafted out of Riverview High School in Sarasota, FL by the Seattle Mariners in the 41st round of the 1992 MLB Draft. Three years later, Olson was drafted out of Florida State by the New York Mets in the 20th round of the 1995 MLB Draft. He has worked for Baseball Factory for four years and is a national pitching scout for Baseball Factory. Phil has the distinction of playing in the Little League World Series in 1986, as well as being a member of the 1994 USA National Team. Was named the Alaska Summer League Player of the Year for 1993 and was on the 1993 Baseball America Summer All-American Team. Played three years professionally in the Mets organization. 

  • Rich PasqualeNational Selection Scout

    Rich Pasquale

    Rich played college baseball at Francis Marion University and has coached at every level of college baseball. He currently serves as an associate scout with the Baltimore Orioles and as a national selection scout with the Baseball Factory. Before that, he was the Hitting/Bench Coach for the Washington Wild Things – a professional independent team in the Frontier League. Previous college stints consisted of being the Head Coach at Division I Youngstown State University and Division III LaRoche College. He has also been an assistant coach at Division I Pitt and Division II Slippery Rock University.

  • Teddy ReganNational Player Development Staff

    Teddy Regan

    National Player Development Staff

    Ted is originally from Fall River, Massachusetts and has an extensive coaching background. He is a former assistant coach at Eckerd College in Florida. He has also coached in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League with the Bourne Braves and the Wareham Gatemen. He was the Director for River City Baseball for 15 years before his time at Eckerd College and coached the USA/Japan International Friendship Series in 1996. The Fall River Herald News awarded Ted with the “Coaches Who Make a Difference” award while he was an assistant at Bishop Connolly High School.

  • Kyle RichardsonHitting & Catching Instructor

    Kyle Richardson

    Hitting & Catching Instructor

    Kyle played collegiately at the University of Notre Dame and was a Big East Academic All-Star in 2013. In 2017, Richardson was named an assistant coach at Division I Coppin State University, working with hitters, outfielders and also as a recruiter. He is currently the lead hitting & catching instructor for the Baseball Factory at the Factory Development Institute.

  • Kevin RiggsNational Player Development Staff

    Kevin Riggs

    National Player Development Staff

    Riggs was a standout player at East Carolina University and was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 1990. He spent eight seasons in the minors and was selected to the All-Star Team four times. He was among the top 10 batting leaders three times and was the Norwich Navigators MVP & Offensive Player of the Year in 1996. Riggs began coaching in the Rockies organization in 2007, including two seasons as a manager (2013-2014) and has since moved to the Pittsburgh Pirates as a coach for the Double-A Altoona Curve.

  • Rodney SpradlinNational Player Development Staff

    Rodney Spradlin

    National Player Development Staff

    Spradlin has been part of the Baseball Factory family as a coach and scout, working with many young athletes for the last eight years. He not only runs and coordinates Player Development events across the country, but helps to coordinate and run Under Armour Baseball Factory College PREP and National Tryout events in the southeast region as well. He is also an integral member of event operations; he serves as the on-site logistics coordinator for many Player Development events, caring for players and families. Rodney is a former head coach at William Byrd High School in Virginia where he won a state championship in 1997, compiling a 94-22 record in five seasons. He currently serves as the pitching coach at William Byrd. In addition, Rodney has been the head coach in the Virginia Commonwealth Games for 26 years. He is also a former associate scout with the Kansas City Royals. He played his college ball at Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, TN. In January 2018, Spradlin was inducted into the Salem-Roanoke Baseball Hall of Fame.

    Mike Surina

    National Player Development Staff

    Michael played his college baseball at Chaffey Community College for two years and the University of La Verne for two years. At La Verne, he was a two-time First Team All-Conference and All-Region honors in his senior year. Michael played two seasons of Independent minor league baseball for the Tijuana Cimarrones and Yuma Scorpions in the Golden League and Fort Worth Cats of the American Association Baseball League. He is now the head baseball coach at Chino High School in Chino, California.

  • Brian TollbergNational Player Development Staff

    Brian Tollberg

    National Player Development Staff

    Tollberg pitched four seasons at the University of North Florida earning Academic All-American honors in two of those years. Following his stellar college career, Brian would go on to pitch 12 years in professional baseball, including nearly three seasons as a starting pitcher for the San Diego Padres. In his first week in the majors, he was named the National League Player of the Week and would go on to lead the Padres in ERA during the 2000 season. During his playing career, Brian played with numerous stars, including Hall of Famers Tony Gwynn and Ricky Henderson as well as being part of several championship teams in the minors.

  • Dave TurgeonNational Player Development Staff

    Dave Turgeon

    National Player Development Staff

    Turgeon is currently the coordinator of instruction in the Pittsburgh Pirates Organization. He was previously a coach at Boston College, Duke, Connecticut, and most recently Virginia Tech. Turgeon played professionally in the Cleveland Indians and Pirates organizations while also spending time in Mexico and Taiwan.

  • Edgar VarelaNational Player Development Staff

    Edgar Varela

    National Player Development Staff

    Edgar attended Long Beach State University and was drafted in 2002 by the Chicago White Sox. He played in the minor leagues for five seasons with three different organizations which included the Chicago White Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Florida Marlins. Edgar has coached, managed, and coordinated in the Pirates organization. In 2018, Edgar will serve as the Field Coordinator in the Minnesota Twins organization.
