Jose Berrios, Minnesota Twins – Was dominant in his last outing: 7 IP vs White Sox, 0 ER, 3 H, 11 Ks, now 2-1 with 2.18 ERA on the season.
Kris Bryant, Chicago Cubs – Off to a hot start: .352 average, 6 2B, 3B, 2 HR, 8 RBI, 10 BB
Nick Castellanos, Detroit Tigers – Nick is carrying over a solid spring training with a good start in tough conditions with a .302 average, 2 2B and 2 3B through 13 games.
MiLB
Alex Verdugo, Dodgers – Alex homered in 3 straight games including a walk-off in extra innings on Sunday. He’s at .341/.357/.610 with 3 HR and 8 RBI for the season.
Carter Kieboom, Nationals – Carter hit a grand slam in a win over Salem. He now has 4 HR and 11 RBI through 12 games
Corey Ray, Brewers – Through 11 games in AA – .362, 5 2B, 3 3B, HR, 8 RBI, 3 SB
Brandon Woodruff, Brewers – The Fellow Milwaukee Brewers prospect is knocking on the door of a call-up after beginning the year 2-0, 1.59 ERA in AAA.
College
Jonathan India, Florida – Jonathan continues to swing the bat with authority, helping the Gators to wins while also helping his own draft stock. For the year he has produced the following stats: .436/8 2B/3 3B/12 HR/29 RBI/42 R/30 BB/8 SB
Jack Herzing, Penn State Behrend – The ECAC North Pitcher of the Week threw two gems on the week. On Monday, he threw a no-hitter against Hilbert striking out 15, and he returned later in the week to get a complete game victory over Alfred State, allowing 1 hit and striking out 16. During the game against Alfred State Herzing broke the Behrend record for most career strikeouts. Herzing attended a UA BF National Tryout & AZ FR/SO Fall Classic in 2010.
Zach Zubia – Texas – Big 12 Newcomer of the Week, Zach broke a 3-3 tie in the 8th inning against OU with a HR that led to a Texas win. He hit .357 for the week and now has 8 HRs for the season while reaching base in his last 37 games.
Nathan Wiles, Oklahoma – Big 12 Pitcher of the Week, The Oklahoma RHP pitched 7.2 scoreless innings vs Texas with 7 Ks. OU went on to shutout Texas for the first time since 1957.
High School
Patrick Wicklander, Valley Christian (CA) – Patrick was dominant in a no-hitter against Archbishop Riordan going 7 innings and striking out 18. The LHP, who is committed to Arkansas, is now 5-1 on the year with a 0.98 ERA and 66 Ks in 42.2 IP
Corey Rosier, Riverdale Baptist (MD) – Corey is tearing it up for Riverdale Baptist this season. He is currently hitting .484 with 7 2B, 3B, 7 HR, 45 RBI and 17 SB
Blake Adams, Springdale Har-Ber (AR) – The 2019 grad is a top 2-way talent for Springdale. He is 4-1 on the mound with 58 Ks in 33.2 IP, and is hitting .426 with 5 2B, 2 HR, 25 RBI, 22 BB and 8 SB.
