Columbia, MD (January 7, 2019) – Baseball Factory, the nation’s leading baseball player development and recruiting services brand celebrates its 25th year helping amateur student-athletes and generating over $1 Billion in college scholarships. Baseball Factory will kick off the silver anniversary with special promotions and discount offerings on their National events as well as sponsor product offerings as they continue their mission to help amateur baseball players develop their game on and off the field of play.

Baseball Factory was founded in 1994 by CEO, Steve Sclafani and joined shortly thereafter by President Rob Naddelman. Steve and Rob both shared a common goal to offer each prospective student-athlete a professional, unbiased athletic and skills evaluation, post-event player development, and college recruiting advice to help each athlete reach their individual potential in the game of baseball and life. Through Steve and Rob’s shared passion in giving every athlete a chance to succeed started with educating athletes on the field with how to always try their best, overcome their adversities, and to better themselves through education quickly defined the company’s motto “Factory Way.”

We have an extremely committed and talented staff who truly care about the lives of all our student-athletes,” said CEO and Founder, Steve Sclafani. “I feel very lucky to have spent my entire career helping kids reach their full potential both on and off the field, working with a staff who share this same passion. While we are certainly proud of all the collegiate and professional athletes that we have developed in the past 25 years, we are equally as happy to see our alumni use the leadership and life skills training they have learned at our events and go on to be successful members of society and impact the world in a positive manner.”

Baseball Factory’s growth in Player Development has led to working with some of the largest sports product companies in the world including Baltimore-based Under Armour beginning in 2007, bringing the Under Armour All-America Game, which is where the nation’s elite high school players each summer compete on a Major League Baseball field produced on MLB TV. The other amazing companies supporting Baseball Factory are Gatorade, Pocket Radar, Topps/Bowman, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Motus. Additional strategic partnerships include Little League, Babe Ruth, PONY and others as “Official Player Development Partners”. Baseball Factory has also been a proud supporter of Major League Baseball’s Pitch Smart and Play Ball initiatives.

As a father of three children, it’s important to me who I entrust my kids with,” Naddelman said. “The length that our staff goes to provide that extra level of comfort and trustin addition to expert baseball training, has gone a long way into building our brand into what it is today.”

That trust is never more evident than in Baseball Factory’s signature program, the Under Armour National Tryout, which offers student-athletes the opportunity to receive a pro-style workout and get on the path to improving their game. Athletes receive a Factory-certified evaluation from the industry’s top coaches and scouts, along with an advanced athletic assessment that provides players and their parents with the most accurate reading of where they stand nationwide with their peers. This positive and encouraging coaching style has helped thousands of middle and high school athletes achieve their dreams of playing in high school, collegiately, and beyond.

Baseball Factory’s Player Development events have provided athletes with the correct mix of high-level instruction and national exposure at some of the best facilities in the country including Pirate City in Bradenton, FL (Spring Training facility to the Pittsburg Pirates), Omaha, NE (home to the College Baseball World Series) and the Chicago Cubs Spring Training facility in Mesa, AZ. Here, athletes are in full baseball immersion experiencing life as a professional while coaches can simultaneously nurture and teach them correct fundamentals to better their game and push them to the next level of play.

15 years ago, Baseball Factory acquired Team One Baseball, a company renowned for organizing elite-level showcase events across the country. Since that time, over 3,000 Baseball Factory and Team One alums have been selected in the MLB Draft. In total, over 20 events (tournaments and showcases) are hosted each year, with over 10,000 players participating in these events alone and being seen by large contingents of scouts, major college baseball programs and other baseball decision makers.

These life-changing experiences coupled with the approach to the college recruiting process over the last 24 years have helped Baseball Factory athletes receive over $1B in college scholarships, and over 100,000 student-athletes reach their dream of getting to college.

We are grateful and thankful that so many families have chosen to be part of the ‘Factory Family’ and allow us to play a role in developing their children as athletes and people over the last 24 years,” Sclafani said. “We will continue to inspire our student-athletes in 2019 and beyond by providing life-changing experiences and world-class instruction in a competitive, fun atmosphere.”
