Baseball Factory will hold 1st Annual Kelly Kulina Classic in honor of the late Kelly Kulina
Columbia, MD The 1st Annual Kelly Kulina Classic will take place in Maryland on Friday, August 27 through Sunday, August 29, 2010. Games scheduled for Friday, August 27, will be played at Baseball Factory Field, at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). All games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 28-29, will be played at the University of Maryland, College Park. The event is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM on Friday and will feature six of the top fall travel teams in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Last October Baseball Factory lost a dear friend when Kelly Kulina suddenly passed away. He was an integral part of Baseball Factory from 2001 – 2009 and a contributor to the game of baseball for over 20 years including 10 years as the recruiting coordinator for the University of Maryland. In an effort to honor Kelly’s memory, Baseball Factory is proud to host the 1st Annual Kelly Kulina Classic.
The event is free but any donations made by the teams will benefit the Kulina Children’s Education Fund. Participating teams include the: (1)Oriolelanders, (2)Mid-Atlantic Red Sox, (3)Rookies, (4)Alleghany Pirates, (5)All-Star Baseball and (6)Tidewater Orioles. A full schedule for the event is below:

Attendance is free and Baseball Factory hopes to see many supporters out at the event for some great high school baseball, while honoring the memory of Kelly Kulina and his contributions to the baseball community.
