Eight Post 90+ mph Exit Velocities on Super Bowl Sunday
On Super Bowl Sunday, the Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout Tour made stops in Alabama, Texas and Southern California.

From those events, the highest new entry to the exit velocity leaderboards was turned in by Vanderbilt commit 2017 LHP/1B Joe Gobillot (Houston, TX). His mark of 98 mph at the Tomball, TX tryout ties for the seventh highest so far among 2017 graduates. 1B Dominic Sere (Spring, TX) posted 93 mph to tie with a large group of players for the ninth best exit velocity we’ve seen so far from the class of 2016.
At the Mobile, AL tryout, 2B Landon Jordan (Poplarville, MS) posted an exit velocity of 93 mph to tie for the sixth best number we’ve seen so far from the class of 2018. Right behind him at 92 mph was 2018 SS Jeremiah Jackson (Mobile, AL), up six ticks from the 86 mph exit velocity we saw from him one year ago.
Other new entries from Mobile include 2017 grads OF Preston Stringer (Perkinston, MS) and 2017 C Hunter Brittain (Brewton, AL) — a South Alabama commit — at 92 mph and 91 mph respectively. 3B Brennen Study (Ocean Springs, MS) posted 86 mph to enter a tie for the seventh highest mark among 2019 graduates.
At 93 mph, 2018 RHP/OF Mason Pelio (San Diego, CA) led all players at the San Diego, CA tryout, with 2017 OF Blake Wagenseller (Poway, CA) — a Stanford commit — just off his bumper at 92 mph.
