Factory Players Nashville, TN

LOCATION: Cumberland University, Lebanon, TN

For every SCR | Under Armour Tryout Event throughout the United States & Canada Baseball Factory Scouts will be selecting several categories of Factory players that include the Top Prospect, Top Underclassmen, Top Hitter, Top Pitcher, and Diamond in the Rough (when applicable).

Please Note:  Many players are selected for our Under Armour National
Tournament and Training Camps that do not appear on the Factory Players List.  The Tournament and Training Camp selections take into consideration the player’s
entire performance and how the scouts feel they will perform in a National
setting.  A player might have performed well enough to be selected for a Tournament or Training Camp, but may not have been the most elite from the day.

TOP PROSPECT: Daryl Norris | 1B / RHP | 6’1/208 | Fairhope (AL) HS | 2010 – What an exciting young 1B/RHP! Just a 2010 Graduate, Norris doesn’t have a ceiling on his future. A two way guy for sure at the collegiate level, Norris most likely projects best on the mound where he sits 90-92 with a well above avg. CB & CH. Norris was the best in every category (except footspeed) at the workout.

TOP PITCHER: Daryl  Norris – With a 90-92 mph FB and some arm side run and sink and an easy arm, this could easily be 95-96 in a year or two. He shows two excellent off speed pitches with a smooth delivery. A legitimate prospect.

THE MATTINGLY BASEBALL TOP HITTER: Brooks Oursler | 1B/RHP | 6’6/210 | Evangelical Christian (TN) HS | 2009 – “A legitimate Division 1 hitter” is what was portrayed from the Baseball Factory Regional scout that evaluated Oursler. He showed great leverage and extension on balls that had excellent backspin and carry.

The Factory Players were selected by Jim Gemler (Director of On-Field Sessions | Scouting Coordinator).
