We saw some great talent last Sunday in Phoenix, AZ at Arizona Christian University, underclassmen and upperclassmen reaching the leaderboard across all top performing measurables.

Athletic catching prospect and 2018 graduate Joe Terlizzi (Scottsdale, AZ) posted the highest raw velocity over the weekend events hitting 87 mph on the radar gun.

Not only did Terlizzi qualify for the Raw Velo leaderboard, but he also put his name on the Top 60 (6.99) and Top Pop Time (1.94) categories. The sophomore from Notre Dame Prep had an impressive workout and is a prospect to follow closely. Fellow 2018 Arizona native Cruz Hamilton (Cave Creek, AZ) also joined the raw velocity leaderboard showing 85 mph arm strength. The OF also qualified in the 60 by running a 6.95.

The rest of the weekend’s qualifiers came from the 2019 class, including a foursome that also attended the workout in Arizona.

Jacob Correa (Peoria, AZ), who qualified for Top Pop Time (2.13) and Top Exit Velocity (85 mph) showed 79 mph arm strength, while Javan Montoya (Thatcher, AZ), Noah Thompson (Glendale, AZ) and Michael Gallegos (Maricopa, AZ) all touched 78 mph. Rounding out the players added to the leaderboard were Ben Brantley (Hernando, MS) and Dalton Freeman (Coldwater, MS) who also each hit 78 mph in raw velocity.
