Little League® Baseball and Softball players nationwide will have exclusive player development and college recruiting opportunities through partnership

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – Little League International announced today the extension of their strategic partnership with Baseball Factory.  A relationship that began in 2009, Little League International and Baseball Factory will provide youth players worldwide with increased player development and college recruiting opportunities.  Little League International has named Baseball Factory as the Official Player Development Partner of Little League Baseball and an Official Sponsor of the Little League Baseball World Series.  Softball Factory, a division of Baseball Factory, has also been named as a Preferred Softball Player Development Partner of Little League Softball. The organizations will work together to provide Little League members with exclusive opportunities to develop their skills and increase their success both on and off the field.

“Since its first game in 1939, Little League Baseball and Softball has become the world’s largest organized youth sports program with nearly 200,000 teams in all 50 U.S. states and more than 90 countries,” said Stephen Keener, President and CEO of Little League Baseball and Softball.  “The organization strives to give children of the world a game that provides fundamental principles they can use later in life to become good citizens.  This partnership with Baseball Factory will help facilitate that mission through various clinics, camps and college recruiting guidance for Little League participants.”

“Our partnership with Little League International has strengthened over the past three years and we are extremely excited to continue working with Little Leaguers worldwide,” said Steve Sclafani, CEO and Founder of the Baseball Factory.  “Through ‘The Factory Way,’ we offer a unique, hands-on system for players who want to develop to their fullest capability.  Over the first three years of this partnership thousands of players have had the opportunity to increase their skill development with Baseball Factory and we look forward to expanding those efforts to reach more Little League players.”

As the partnership continues, various events will be held across the country for players ages 8 through 18. The events will be held at Little League International in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, various Little League complexes, minor league, college and high school facilities nationwide.  Events will provide Little Leaguers with advanced training through world-class instruction with the Baseball Factory coaching staff.

Senior and Big League division players will also be provided with an opportunity to participate in Baseball Factory scouting workouts, during which the players will be evaluated based on their future college potential.  In addition to improving baseball skills, Baseball Factory works with potential college players and their parents on both the academic and athletic aspects of the college recruiting process.  Exclusive to Little Leaguers that participate in Baseball Factory scouting workouts, players will receive a free 10 minute phone consultation to discuss the player’s skill development and college recruiting goals.

Baseball Factory will also have a presence at the Little League Camps in South Williamsport.  Baseball Factory will film and evaluate all campers and provide them with a personal player web page that includes an edited video of their performance at the camp and analysis of each players’ strengths and areas for improvement.

The Columbia, Maryland-based Baseball Factory is widely recognized as the top, hands-on player development organization in the United States.  Over 3,000 players from Baseball Factory have been selected in the amateur draft, with over 320 of those players going on to the Major Leagues.  In addition, Baseball Factory has assisted players in obtaining over $1 billion in scholarships and over 40,000 of their players have gone on to compete at the college level.  The company holds more than 500 baseball events, clinics, showcases and tournaments each year.  Started in 2011, the Softball Factory division works with over 1,500 players each year at over 150 events.
