The partnership will provide new player development and college placement
opportunities for baseball players worldwide

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – Little League International announced today a strategic partnership with Baseball Factory that will provide youth players worldwide with increased player development and college placement opportunities.  Little League International has named Baseball Factory as the Exclusive and Official Player Development Partner of Little League Baseball.  The organizations will work together to provide Little League members with new opportunities to develop their skills and increase their success both on and off the field.

“We’re pleased to be teaming up with such a well-established and respected partner as the Baseball Factory,” Stephen D. Keener, President and Chief Executive Officer of Little League International, said. “With player development as the focus of this program, it is yet another exclusive advantage of League membership, in a long list of benefits.”

Since the first league game in 1939, Little League Baseball has become the world’s largest organized youth sports program with nearly 200,000 teams in all 50 U.S. states and more than 80 countries.  The organization strives to give children of the world a game that provides fundamental principles they can use later in life to become good citizens.  This partnership with Baseball Factory will help facilitate that mission through various clinics, camps and college recruiting guidance for Little League participants.

“We have nothing but respect and admiration for Little League International,” said Steve Sclafani, CEO and Founder of the Baseball Factory.  “As the leader in our respective field as well, we will work with Little League International to encourage sportsmanship, fair play and teamwork while developing the skills of each player in order to promote future on-field success.  We will work with the Little League players to develop their skills and ultimately guide them on their path to college baseball and beyond.  We look forward to a long and bright future together.”

The partnership will kick off with various events for players in the Little, Junior, Senior and Big League divisions. The primary focus of the partnership will be the Little League Youth Clinic and Skills Challenges, powered by Baseball Factory. Baseball Factory will conduct these events for Little and Junior League division players. The events will be held at Little League, minor league, college and high school facilities nationwide.

Senior and Big League division players will also be provided with an opportunity to participate in Baseball Factory scouting workouts, during which the players will be evaluated based on their future college potential.  In addition to improving baseball skills, Baseball Factory works with potential college players and their parents on both the academic and athletic aspects of the college placement process.

“Each year, it becomes more important for parents of SL and BL players to find ways place their children in the right school for higher education, and Little League is delighted to be of assistance,” Mr. Keener said. “It is one of the unique features of this program.”

Baseball Factory will have a presence at all four of the World Series tournaments to showcase its many benefits. It also will conduct player development and college recruiting seminars at the World Series in the Senior and Big League divisions.

The Columbia, Maryland-based Baseball Factory is widely recognized as the top, hands-on player development and marketing service in the United States.  Over 2,500 players from Baseball Factory and Team One, the company’s showcase and tournament division, have been selected in the amateur draft, with over 215 of those players going on to the Major Leagues.  In addition, Baseball Factory and Team One have assisted players in obtaining over $500 million in scholarships and over 25,000 of their players have gone on to compete at the college level.  The company holds more than 200 baseball camps, clinics, showcases and tournaments each year.
