Peak Velos – 2016 Under Armour All-America Game

Of the thirteen pitchers that took the mound in the 2016 Under Armour All-America Game, ten reached at least 93 mph. Three pitchers touched 95 mph or better, with standout two-way guy Hunter Greene leading the way at 98 mph in a first inning that included what felt like only 6-or-7 pitches (I don’t know the actual pitch count, but I can’t be too far off).

We didn’t get to see Caleb Sloan (RHP – Centennial, CO – Regis Jesuit HS), Kyle Hurt (RHP – San Diego, CA – Torrey Pines HS) or Nick Pratto (LHP – Huntington Beach, CA – Huntington Beach HS) due to lightning that eventually gave way to a torrential downpour that unfortunately resulted in a washout of the eighth and ninth innings. Sloan took the mound to begin his warmup tosses prior to the top of the eighth when the players were pulled off the field, with Kyle Hurt scheduled to throw the bottom of the frame.

Pitchers are listed in order by peak fastball, with velocity ranges for secondary pitches included.
