Train with Baseball Factory at the Legacy Sports USA Bell Bank Park in Mesa, AZ! Players participate in on-field training with our professional coaches and gain valuable experience during the off-season. Players are filmed during workouts to create a Baseball Factory Player Page to be used for college recruiting. This event is invitation-only.

Updated Baseball Factory Player Page that can be Emailed to College Coaches Nationwide

  • Your player web page will be updated with a video and written evaluation based on your performance at the Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic. 

Post-Event Exposure and Ongoing Support to Help Navigate the College Search Process

  • As a Baseball Factory member, you will have access to our College Recruiting Specialists through our toll free hotline, email or by posting a question to Twitter.
  • Additional valuable information from Baseball Factory’s academic counselor will be accessible online through the Member’s Section of baseballfactory.com.
  • Your profile will be updated in our online searchable player database, where college coaches login daily to recruit players.
  • We will promote your performance with Baseball Factory through email campaigns to coaches and scouts.

Event Staff Has Included:

Khareth Bartee: Khareth is a native of Omaha, NE. He attended Iowa Western Community College and graduated from Creighton University. In 2000, he was an All-Region XI Second Team player and signed with the Kansas City Royals. He now works with Baseball Factory at various Player Development Camps across the country.

Don Jamerson: Don played his college ball at Cal State University Hayward. He was then drafted by the San Francisco Giants where he reached Double-A. He then went on to coach at St. Mary’s for five years and won coach of the year in the West Coast Conference. Don also managed an 18U team that won two national championships. Don has been with the Factory since 2008. He assists at many Baseball Factory National Evaluation and PREP, Player Development, and Showcase Events. He is the Northwest Regional Director for the Factory.

Craig Minetto: Craig was drafted by the LA Dodgers, pitched professionally in Italy and later pitched four seasons in the majors with the Oakland Athletics where he played for legendary manager Billy Martin. He played college ball at Delta College in Stockton, CA. He is currently a scout with San Francisco Giants. Craig has been working with the Baseball Factory since 2013, working PREP events in the northwest, and Player Development events nationwide.

Everett Rey: Everett played collegiately at Delta College in CA and drafted by the Cleveland Indians where he made it to Triple-A in the organization. He currently coaches a San Francisco Giants scout team in the San Francisco Bay area. Coach Rey has been with the Factory since 2014 and works many Player Development events nationwide throughout the year. He also works PREP & Tryout Evaluation events in the northwest.

Kevin Riggs: Riggs was a standout player at East Carolina University and was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds. He spent seven years in the minors and was selected to the All-Star Team four times. He was among the top 10 batting leaders three times and was the Norwich Navigators MVP & Offensive Player of the Year in 1996. Riggs spent time coaching in the Colorado Rockies organization from 2007-2014 and has since worked with the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Jack Santora: Jack was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 19th round of the 1999 Draft. He reached as high as Triple-A, playing for the Diamondbacks, Philadelphia Phillies and San Diego Padres organizations from 1999-2005. Santora has spent the last few years as a defensive coach and scout for the Burlington Bees (Class-A affiliate of the LA Angels) and manager for Rookie AZL Angels. He represented Team Italy for three World Baseball Classics in 2006, 2009 and 2013 and won two European Championships with Team Italy in 2010 and 2012.

Darryl Scott: Darryl is currently the Colorado Rockies Roving Pitching Coordinator. Former Triple-A pitching coach for the Albuquerque Isotopes. He has spent the last two seasons as the pitching coach for the Tulsa Drillers. Prior to that, Scott was the pitching coach for the Modesto Nuts, the Single-A Affiliate for the Colorado Rockies. He is a former Major League pitcher, reaching the big leagues in 1993 with the California Angels. He also pitched in the Rockies, Indians, Phillies and Diamondbacks organizations. Darryl played his college ball at Loyola Marymount University.

Ryan Scott: Ryan played college baseball at Arkansas State University. In 2013, Ryan was drafted in the 30th round by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ryan has also played in the Angels organization and is currently with the Seattle Mariners organization. He also played in the Pioneer League with the Orem Owlz.

Rodney Spradlin: Rodney has coached and scouted with Baseball Factory for several years. He not only runs and coordinates Player Development events, but also helps to coordinate and run PREP & Tryout Evaluation events in the southeast region. Rodney is a former Head Coach at William Byrd High School (Virginia) where he won a State Championship in 1997. He currently serves as the Pitching Coach at William Byrd. In addition, Rodney has been the Head Coach in the Virginia Commonwealth Games for over 20 years. He is also a former Associate Scout with the Kansas City Royals. He played his college ball at Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, TN.

 

Important Event Info:

  • Players will be greeted by Baseball Factory representatives at baggage claim (*Players Rooming Together)
  • Players are fully supervised 24 hours a day (*Players Rooming Together)
  • If player travels alone, they will be met by Baseball Factory staff at Airport baggage claim (*Players Rooming Together).
  • Players receive a Baseball Factory shirt and hat.
  • Players are guaranteed 4 games (weather permitting)
  • Water/Gatorade will be distributed throughout the day for players.
  • Players need to bring all necessary baseball equipment for training and games (Wood OR BBCOR bats can be used)
  • Players receive access to the Recruiting, Education & Development Manual to assist in their player development and the college recruiting process.
  • Players may bring spending money for souvenirs and/or extra snacks
  • Airfare is NOT included in the registration fees

 

The Baseball Factory will provide all players with the following:

  • Baseball Factory Jersey and Hat
  • Water/Gatorade Throughout the Day
Players need to BRING the following:
  • Gray or White Baseball pants (at least 2 pair)
  • Socks (at least 2 pair)
  • Belt (any color; must wear a belt if pants have belt loops)
  • All game/training equipment necessary, such as bat*, glove, cleats, turfs/sneakers, catching gear and any other position specific equipment.
  • T-shirts and shorts for evening workouts
  • Copy of Health Insurance Card to be kept in your equipment bag
  • Spending money for souvenirs and/or extra snacks
**If traveling by plane, bats cannot be apart of your carry on luggage. They must be packed in checked luggage**
Players MUST NOT bring the following items:
  • Guns, knives or weapons of any sort (real or fake)
  • Electronic games or gaming devices
  • Other personal and/or valuable items not required for participation
