The Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout Tour makes a stop in Peachtree City, Georgia to The Chuck at Homeplate on Sunday, October 25th.

“The Chuck” is the first 100% synthetic turf baseball field with rubber-coated sand in the state of Georgia. The field serves as a multi-purpose facility, holding many different sporting events, including softball, soccer and lacrosse to name a few. Just a week before the National Tryout at “The Chuck”, the Under Armour Baseball Factory Team One Futures South event will take place at the same location.

Both of today’s athletes in our spotlight decided to stay within the state of Georgia to play collegiately after successful high school careers.

Keegan McGovern

Keegan McGovern – A 2014 graduate from Coffee High School in Willacoochee, GA, McGovern was named the 1-AAAAAA Player of the Year, and was an All-State and Southeast All-Star selection by the Georgia Dugout Club and played for Team Georgia after hitting .416 with seven doubles, 10 home runs and 33 RBI in 32 games as a senior. He also posted a .563 on-base percentage and .831 slugging percentage with 30 walks in 119 plate appearances.

The 6’3″, 207 pound outfielder was named to the Freshman All-SEC Team, playing for the University of Georgia Bulldogs baseball team after hitting .268 with nine doubles, three homers and 17 RBI in 43 starts (48 games overall) in left field. Keegan also collected 11 multi-hit games, against top teams like Florida State, Alabama and Auburn.

McGovern attended an Under Armour Baseball Factory College PREP in Jacksonville, Florida as a freshman in January of 2011 where he showed good projectables, both offensively (attacking the baseball with a balanced set-up) and defensively (making all the plays with soft, clean hands with the glove) during the event.

Trevor Craport

Trevor Craport – Craport, a four-year letterwinner at Norcross High School in Norcross, GA, earned 6A All-State honors in his senior season, as well as the All-Region team in his junior and senior seasons (2013 & 2014).

Craport came to the National Tryout in Kennesaw, GA back in June of 2012 as a catcher and short stop. Now with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Craport was used as a reliever, making seven appearances for the team in this, his freshman campaign. He made his collegiate debut with back-to-back scoreless, one-hit innings against North Carolina, finishing with a 4.76 ERA in 11 1/3 innings pitched.
