The Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout Tour rolls into Wilmington, Delaware on Monday August 3rd at St. Mark’s High School.

Let’s take a look at some recent Baseball Factory players who have come to a tryout in the state of Delaware.

Justin Mears – Mears is from Georgetown, DE and is in his senior season at Sussex Central High School in Georgetown. The senior captain pitched and played the outfield for the Golden Knights this past season. Mears attended an Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout in Bear, DE back in August of 2012. The 6’1″, 150 pound Mears has committed to play at Delaware State University.

Robbie Marcelle – Marcelle, a native of Millsboro, DE is the teammate of Mears on Sussex Central’s baseball team, also serving as one of the team’s captains. The senior shortstop and pitcher attended an Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout in Wilmington last August and has committed to play at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. 

Dario Anderson – The senior outfielder from Providence Creek Academy in Clayton, DE attended an Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout in Baltimore, MD in October of 2010 and was selected to participate in Pirate City’s Spring Training event in January of 2011. Anderson projected well during the event as a two-way player showing nice overall skills in the outfield and at second base. Scouts liked that he used his feet well to throw to his target and seemed very confident in his abilities. With the bat, he utilized a nice swing that possessed good barrel action.

Anderson has committed to Wagner College in Staten Island, NY to play for the Seahawks.

Tyler Cullen – Cullen graduated from Dover Area High School in 2014 after being a first-team All-North pitcher and pitching a no-hitter against Delmar. As a senior that year, Cullen went 6-4 with 82 strikeouts, earning Dover’s Cy Young award and Senator awards in 2014.  

Cullen participated in the 2013 Kelly Kulina Classic, throwing his fastball in the low 80’s and showing a repeatable, simple delivery that allowed for him to throw strikes consistently.

Now a sophomore at Delaware State University, Cullen is part of the Hornets pitching staff and is majoring in Movement Science at DSU.
