Under Armour Signs Multi-Year Deal with The Baseball Factory

Under Armour to host All-America Baseball Tournament
in Tucson, Arizona, January 12th through the 14th

BALTIMORE – Under Armour, Inc. (NASDAQ: UARM) announced today a multi-year partnership with the Baseball Factory, a leader in player development for top high-school baseball athletes across the country.  Under Armour, the Baltimore-based performance innovator, will outfit the nation’s top high school baseball athletes from head-to-toe and serve as the title sponsor for nationally-recognized tournaments and teams such as the Under Armour All-America Baseball Tournament, National Tryout Tour, Cape Cod High School Classic and National Tournament Teams.

“The best high school-level baseball talent will now be playing in the best performance apparel and footwear available,” said Under Armour’s VP of Brand Marketing Steve Battista.  “We share with the Baseball Factory a dedication to authentic on-field performance, and we’re excited to see what this talented pool of athletes can accomplish in their athletic career.”

This multi-year partnership, which follows on the heels of the company’s recent Senior Bowl sponsorship announcement, represents Under Armour’s mission to provide the best technical performance apparel and gear to elite athletes on playing fields everywhere.  These athletes will be among the first to wear Under Armour’s new baseball cleats, which represent the company’s next line of footwear to be included in the successful CLICK CLACK? campaign that was used to launch football cleats in June 2006. Under Armour’s baseball cleats will be sold nationwide in spring 2007.

“We have nothing but respect and admiration for the Under Armour brand and products,” said Steve Sclafani, CEO and Founder of the Baseball Factory.  “As the leader in our respective field as well, our players deserve the best in footwear and apparel and they will now receive it through our relationship with Under Armour.  We look forward to a long and bright future together.”

The sponsorship kicks off with the Under Armour All-America Baseball Tournament at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Arizona January 12th through the 14th, where Under Armour, Baseball Factory and Team One will invite and host approximately 200 of the nations top high school juniors and seniors for the pre-season tournament.  Under Armour will also become a major player at the Cape Cod High School Classic as a presenting sponsor in 2007 and title sponsor for 2008-2009.  This prestigious event will showcase the 36 most talented high school rising seniors and juniors from across the nation in a classic game broadcast by ESPNU and MLB.com.

The Columbia, Maryland-based Baseball Factory is widely recognized as the top, hands-on player development and marketing service in the United States.  Over 1,500 players from Baseball Factory and Team One have been selected in the amateur draft, with over 145 of those players going on to the Major Leagues.  In addition, Baseball Factory and Team One have assisted players in obtaining over $500 million in scholarships.  The company holds more than 100 baseball events and tournaments each year.
