BASEBALL FACTORY AND TEAM ONE ANNOUNCE THE SIXTH ANNUAL
UNDER ARMOUR PRE-SEASON ALL-AMERICA
TOURNAMENT IN TUCSON, ARIZONA

COLUMBIA, MD, November 16, 2011 – Baseball Factory and Team One will join Under Armour to present the sixth annual Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament in Tucson, Arizona, January 13-15, 2012.  Prior to 2007 the event was called the Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament. The event will be held at the Kino Sports Complex, the former spring training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The 2012 Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament features the top high school players from across the country in a wood bat tournament. Only Division 1 caliber players are invited to participate in the event.  Pre-Season All-Americans are selected based on a strong performance at a previous Baseball Factory or Team One event, or recommendation by a pro scout. Past Pre-Season All-Americans have included David Wright of the New York Mets, Eric Hosmer of the Kansas City Royals, and BJ Upton of the Tampa Bay Rays.

Since 2009, 120 Under Armour Pre-Season All-Americans have been selected in the Amateur Draft.  This list of talented players includes C.J. Cron, 2011 Draft, #17 Overall, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim; Dante Bichette, Jr., 2011 Draft, #51 Overall, New York Yankees; Brett Eibner, 2010 Draft, #54 Overall, Kansas City Royals; Marcus Littlewood, 2010 Draft, #67 Overall, Seattle Mariners; Bobby Borchering, 2009 Draft, #16 Overall, Arizona Diamondbacks; A.J. Pollock, 2009 Draft, #17 Overall, Arizona Diamondbacks; Randal Grichuk, 2009 Draft, #24 Overall, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim; and Brett Jackson, 2009 Draft, #31 Overall, Chicago Cubs.

During the Under Armour Pre-Season All America Tournament, players showcase and compete against each other, making it the only “non paper” All-American honor. Players will represent their region during three tournament games.  In addition, Baseball Factory scouts will take a close look at all 2013 and 2014 graduates for possible selection to the 2012 Under Armour All-America Game, powered by Baseball Factory.
