College Coach and MLB Exposure

In years past we have had all 30 MLB clubs in attendance, and each player will receive a showcase video to help with maximum exposure to the right people in baseball.

Professional Evaluation & Guidance

Before the tournament, Baseball Factory scouts will offer training tips to make sure you’re ready for competition. During the event Baseball Factory scouts will work with players and evaluate talent.

Awards Ceremony

The weekend will kick off with an awards ceremony where you will hear special keynote speakers and get your official Pre-Season All-America certificate.

Playing against this level of competition will help sharpen your game and get you ready for Spring.

All-America Game Consideration

2025 and 2026 grads will be looked at by the Baseball Factory All-America Game Selection Committee for their chance to play in the 2024 All-America Game.

Baseball Factory Results

With over 5,000 players drafted into professional baseball, and nearly 50% of the 2022 Draft coming from Baseball Factory (295 out of 616), the Baseball Factory knows how to develop talent and get High School players the exposure they need and deserve.

Over the past 3 years we have had the #1 overall pick, Spencer Torkelson who started with us at a Baseball Factory Middle School program, #2 overall in Bobby Witt, Jr who was a Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-American and Under Armour All-American at Wrigley Field, and #4 pick JJ Bleday and Riley Greene who also graced the fields of our Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-American events as well.

In 2022, we had the first 9 picks of the first round of the MLB draft and 25 first rounders in total.  This list includes the # 1 pick overall Jackson Holliday and players like future MLB superstars  Druw Jones #2 overall and Kumar Rocker  #3 overall.

In addition, 100% of Div. I and Div.II programs and 96% of Div. III have at least one BF Alum.

Dave Burba:  Dave is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Seattle Mariners, San Francisco Giants, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, and Milwaukee Brewers from 1990 to 2004. In his 15-year major league career, Burba’s record was 115–87, with 1,398 strikeouts, and a 4.49 ERA. Burba has since gone on to coaching, and became pitching coach of the Tri-City Dust Devils for the 2011 season, the class-A team of the Colorado Rockies. Burba has served as the Pitching Coach in Double-A (Hartford Yard Goats) for the Rockies, since 2016.

Tony Diaz:  Tony is currently the 3B coach for the Minnesota Twins. He spent the last six years as the hitting coach for Caper. Diaz was drafted by the Anaheim Angels in 1995, but his career was cut short by an arm injury. He graduated from Florida International University with a marketing degree in 1998 and joined the Colorado Rockies organization in 2000. Diaz served as a hitting coach in the Arizona Rookie League for one season before joining the Casper staff in 2001.

Bobby Magallanes:  Bobby is a former Team USA player that was drafted by the Seattle Mariners, and went on to play professionally with the Mariners, Cubs, and Astros. After playing, he started coaching with the LA Angels. He Managed at several levels of minor league ball, most being at the AA level with the Angels and White Sox. Prior to coaching he also scouted with the Angels, and has served as a Rover/Latin Liaison. Bobby is currently a hitting coach in the Cleveland Indians organization.

Wes Helms:  Wes is a former Big Leaguer with the Braves, Brewers, Marlins, and Phillies. He spent 13 years in the Majors and had 75 homeruns while driving in 374 runs.

Mitch Sokol:  Mitch is currently the Four Corners Area Scouting Supervisor for the Washington Nationals. He has scouted for 22 years and previously worked with the Cubs and Phillies. He also coached college ball at Iowa State University and the University of Toledo. He played at Iowa Western CC and then the University of Nebraska. He signed Bryce Harper.

Steve Scarsone:  Steve is served as the 3rd base coach for the Oakland Athletics in 2017. In 2016, he was the manager of the Oakland A’s AAA affiliate the Nashville Sounds. He has managed professionally since 2009 and spent the previously 4 years at the AAA level. Steve played eight seasons in the Major Leagues with the Giants, Cardinals, Royals, Orioles, and Phillies.

Rick Sofield:  Sofield is a former 1st draft pick out of high school, and went on to play for three years as a Major Leaguer for the Minnesota Twins. He previously served as Head Coach at the University of South Carolina – Beaufort, where he started the program from scratch in 2008, and built it into a winner immediately – compiling a record of 101-56 in three seasons. His previous experience at the college level includes stop as the Head Coach at the University of Utah and as an Assistant Coach at the University of South Carolina. His professional experience includes serving the role of Field Coordinator for the New York Yankees, Pittsburg Pirates, Los Angeles Dodgers and Montreal Expos. He also managed the Colorado Sky Sox, Class AAA affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.

Lee Tinsley:  Lee is a former Major League outfielder – he spent 5 years in the big leagues with the Red Sox, Mariners, and Phillies. He was also the first base coach for the Mariners and Diamondbacks in the Big Leagues. Tinsley is currently the assistant Hitting Coach with the Cincinnati Reds.
