Alumni Impact: Baseball Factory Alumni Shine at MLB, Minor League Levels

Justin Upton (Baseball Factory Team One Showcase) has belted nine homeruns over the first 15 games of the season, most in the majors. His torrid point has helped the Atlanta Braves to a 13-2 record, also best in the majors.
Arizona Diamondbacks rookie AJ Pollock (Baseball Factory Exclusive College Recruiting Program) is off to one of the best starts among rookies this season, hitting .267 with a .556 SLG through his first 13 games. He also hit two homeruns in one game against the Pirates, en route to a Diamondback 10-2 victory.
Brandon Crawford (Baseball Factory Team One Showcase) continued his hot start to the season in Thursday’s game, going 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two runs scored. Through the first sixteen games Crawford is batting .352 with 19 hits and seven RBI’s.
The Rangers Derek Holland (Baseball Factory Exclusive College Recruiting Program) is off to a solid 1-1 start, earning his first win Tuesday tossing seven shutout innings as the Rangers downed the Cubs. That brings Holland to an ERA of 1.64 and 15 strikeouts on the season.
Minor Leagues
Oakland A’s prospect Stephen Vogt (Baseball Factory Exclusive College Recruiting Program) is tearing up Triple-A pitching, batting .500 in 10 games including 22 hits and 14 RBI’s. Stephen is looking to join the big league club after playing in 18 games last season for the Tampa Bay Rays.
One of the top prospects in the Pirates organization, Jameson Taillon (2009 Under Armour All-America Game) saw a few innings during Spring Training and has continued to look impressive through his first three games of the season. Taillon began the season with Double-A Altoona and has posted a 2-1 record with a 1.00 ERA and 20 strikeouts.
Brandon Nimmo (2010 Under Armour All-America Game), began the year with the Class A South Atlantic League Savannah Sand Gnats. Through 14 games, the Wyoming native is batting .411 with 23 hits and 10 RBI’s. His offensive numbers lead the South Atlantic League through Thursday.
Fellow South Atlantic Leaguer Josh Elander (2008 Under Armour All-America Game), a top prospect in the Braves organization, is also off to a great offensive start. He’s batting .339, with 10 RBI’s through fourteen games.
Steven Proscia (Under Armour Baseball Factory National Team, Pre-Season All-American)went 3-4 with two runs scored and two RBI’s in a Double-A Southern League match-up earlier this week. He’s .243 with five RBI’s on the season Seattle’s Jackson Generals.
Arizona Diamondback prospect Chris Owings (Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout) is making a strong impression through the early part of the season. He’s batting .368 with seven RBI’s and four stolen bases for Triple-A Reno.

Chris Kohler – 6-1 with 3 CGs, 2.17 ERA, 65 Ks in 42 IP, also hitting .423
