Baseball America’s Top 25 Under 25
Recently, Baseball America published an article on the Top 25, 25 and Under Major Leaguers. Here at the Baseball Factory we would like to congratulate and recognize nine of these top 25 players that participated in our programs, back when they were in High School.
#2 David Wright, 3B, New York Mets – David had career highs in 07′ in runs, hits, homers, walks, batting average, OBP, and stolen bases. BBF/Team One Events – 2001 & 2000 Baseball Factory All-American, 2000 Team One National, 1999 Team One East.
#3 Justin Verlander, RHP, Detroit Tigers – Justin recorded 18 wins, had a 3.66 ERA, and struck out 183 batters in 2007. He also threw a no-hitter on June 12 against the Milwaukee Brewers. BBF/Team One Events – 1999 Team One Midwest.
#6 Prince Fielder, 1B, Milwaukee Brewers – He became the youngest player to hit 50 homeruns in a season last year. BBF/Team One Events – 2001 Team One National.
#11 Troy Tulowitzki, SS, Colorado Rockies – In his rookie season, Troy batted .291 with 99 RBIs for the defending NL Champions. BBF/Team One Events – 2001 Team One West.
#15 B.J. Upton, CF, Tampa Bay Ray’s – B.J. batted .300 and committed only two errors in his new position as the Rays’ center fielder. BBF/Team One Events – 2001 Baseball Factory All-American, 2000 Team One East.
#17 Brian McCann, C, Atlanta Braves – Last season Brian had 38 doubles, 92 RBIs, and had a fielding percentage of .987. BBF/Team One Events – 2001 Team One National.
#19 Delmon Young, OF, Minnesota Twins – Delmon is joining the Twins this year from the Tampa Bay Ray’s. Last Season he had 185 hits, scored 65 runs and had 93 RBIs. BBF/Team One Events – Baseball Factory 2002 All- American.
#20 Chris Young, CF, Arizona Diamondbacks – Chris had 32 homeruns, scored 85 runs, stole 27 bases, and helped lead his team to the playoffs. BBF/Team One Events – 2000 Team One West.
#24 Jeff Francoeur, OF, Atlanta Braves – Jeff batted .293, had 105 RBIs and committed only two errors. BBF/Team One Events – 2000 Team One East.
With the assistance of the Baseball Factory and Team One these players have received the opportunity to perform and have performed well at the Major League level. Once again, congratulations to these players from Baseball Factory. We look forward to watching these players mature and continue to succeed in Major League Baseball.
