BASEBALL FACTORY & HEAVYSWING JOIN FORCES TO CREATE STRATEGIC ALLIANCE
Columbia, Md. –Baseball Factory, the nation's leader in player development and college recruiting, and HeavySwing, the original handle-weighted training bat, today announced the formation of a partnership to help each company strengthen its position within the baseball and softball marketplaces. The initial term for the deal is three years.
“Our partnership with Baseball Factory is a perfect fit on so many levels,” says Keith Rockhill, founder and CEO of HeavySwing Baseball. "Baseball Factory's long-standing reputation and track record for developing the best talent in the country speaks for itself. The fact that they chose HeavySwing to be their first-ever Official Training Bat is tremendous validation for our products and system. We're pleased by all the positive feedback we’ve received at their national events thus far, and we look forward to supporting their mission of developing players to their fullest potential for many years to come.”
HeavySwing becomes a key part of the Baseball Factory team, whose other major partners include the likes of Under Armour, Louisville Slugger, Little League® Baseball and EyeBlack.com.
“We are very excited to partner with HeavySwing and introduce them as the Official Training Bat of Baseball Factory and Softball Factory,” said Rob Naddelman, President of the Baseball Factory. “As an organization, we take great care in determining the correct partners for our players and our brand. Many groups have presented us with training bats in the past but until HeavySwing, we have not felt strongly enough to develop a partnership. The HeavySwing products are designed to help serious athletes with their on-field performance, which is why the relationship with HeavySwing makes complete sense. The HeavySwing products provide a unique weight resistance training system that promotes solid fundamentals without affecting the hitter’s natural swing.”
HeavySwing will have a significant presence at all of Baseball Factory's events, including tryouts, tournaments and training camps. HeavySwing has also developed softball-specific products that will be integrated into the Softball Factory event lineup in 2012.
