Baseball Factory Player Selected to USA Baseball 16U National Team Trials
We are proud to announce that Trevor Williams has been selected to participate in the USA Baseball National Team Trials. Trevor played with the Baseball Factory team at the USA Baseball 16U Championships – West event. He was one of only 36 players selected from the 144 teams and 2,400 players that participated in the East and West tournaments. He will now compete with the 35 other selected players as the USA Baseball 16U National Team roster is trimmed down to 18.
The final 18-man National Team will compete in the 2008 COPABE ?AA’ Youth Pan American Championships later this summer.
Trevor is a 6’2″, 200 lb RHP from San Diego, California. A 2010 graduate, Trevor initially attended an Under Armour National Tryout, powered by Baseball Factory, at Cathedral City High School on November 18, 2007. Based on his performance at the Under Armour National Tryout, Trevor was selected as an Under Armour Pre-Season All-American and he earned a roster spot on the Baseball Factory USA Baseball 16U Championships team.
Trevor threw 81 – 89 MPH off the mound at the tryout with a sinking changeup (73 MPH) and a curveball with tight spin and sharp break. Our scouts felt that he was a top tier pitcher, which USA Baseball clearly agreed with. Below are Trevor’s stats from the USA 16U Baseball Championships:
Innings Pitched: 10
Earned Runs: 0
Strikeouts: 12
Walks: 2
Hits: 7
We wish Trevor our best at the trials!
