Elijah is a strong, physical young player with some of the easiest bat speed, and subsequent power, in the class. His right-handed stroke produces loud contact with natural lift.
We first saw Cabell as a youngster back in 2011 at an Interactive Video Program, where at the time, he was a catcher. Even then, his bat stood out as someone who had potential, showing good balance, quick hands and fast bat speed.
The overall tool package is also among the best in the country and he runs well and flashes arm strength from the outfield. The game seems to come easy to Elijah, who is a legitimate run producer. He profiles best as a corner outfielder. Committed to LSU.
