Event Staff May Include:
Rob Lawson: Robert played his college baseball at Flagler College. After college, he served as the head coach at the prestigious St. Thomas Aquinas High School for 12 years. In 2001 & 2010 they were state finalists, and in 2003 they won the 5A state championship. Many of his former ball players have gone on to play in college and professional baseball, including three Major League players.
Carm Mazza – Mazza is the Head Baseball Coach at powerhouse American Heritage-Delray High School. In his 20 years at American Heritage, he has compiled over 400 wins, 11 district titles, four regional championships and four state appearances. He played his college baseball at Lynn University, and played in the independent Frontier League. Carm has worked with Baseball Factory since 2008 and has served as an Under Armour All-America Game coach.
Talmadge Nunnari: Coach T currently serves as the Hitting Coordinator for Baseball Factory. He played college baseball at Jacksonville University, where he was an All-American. He was drafted by the Montreal Expos, and in 2000, made is MLB debut. He served as the General Manager and Field Manager of the Pensacola Pelicans, a Professional Independent League Team. Following his time in Pensacola, Talmadge went back to Jacksonville as an Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.
Phil Olson: Phil knows a thing or two about saving games; he was the all-time saves leader for Florida State. He played in many big games over the course of his career, from the Little League World Series to the College World Series to the USA National Team. From teaching kids to calming nerves, to a nasty slider, to ironing out mechanics, Phil is an expert in all things pitching. Phil played professionally in the Mets organization and uses all of his experience to help young pitchers – and always with a smile on his face and an approachable presence.
Taylor Valentine: Taylor is currently the assistant baseball coach and recruiting coordinator for Centre College. He began his collegiate playing career at Milligan College (2010-13) before playing at Asbury University as a middle infielder (2014-15). He then spent three years at Asbury as the associate head coach, helping to build the program into a top-rated NAIA Baseball program for student-athletes. Valentine took his coaching expertise to the University of Illinois-Chicago where he coached all UIC position players and hitters in 2019 as the Flames won the Horizon League Championship and earned a spot in the NCAA CWS Louisville Regional.
Important Event Info:
- Players will meet Baseball Factory coaches at baggage claim
- Program cost includes 1 hotel room for parent and player
- Players are fully supervised 24 hours a day
- Players must bring all game/training equipment necessary, such as bat*, glove, cleats, turfs/sneakers, catching gear and any other position specific equipment. *If traveling by plane, bats cannot be apart of your carry on luggage. They must be packed in checked luggage*
- Teams will play (3) pool play games, (4) game guarantee, seven innings in length, weather permitting
- Players will receive a Baseball Factory jersey and hat
- Players must use *WOOD bats at the event
- Players may bring spending money for souvenirs and/or extra snacks
- Parents welcome (Parents and guests are responsible for providing their own reservation, meals and transportation.)
