19 Baseball Factory Alumni Highlight the 2017 MLB All-Star Futures Game

The Major League Baseball All-Star Futures Game showcases the top prospects in all of baseball. Both the United States Futures team and the World Futures team are well represented by Baseball Factory Alumni in the 2017 MLB All-Star Futures Game.

This years game is set to take place on Sunday, July 9th at 4:00pm ET, at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida. The U.S. Team has 15 Baseball Factory alumni on their roster, and the World Team has four alumni on their roster as well. Of the 19 total alumni, there are six pitchers, eight infielders (three catchers), and five outfielders represented.

U.S. Team

Pitchers: 

Beau Burrows: RHP, AA, Detroit Tigers

Minor league Career: 13-9 with a 2.79 ERA over the course of three seasons with four different teams.

This Year: Advanced Single-A; 11 starts with a 1.23 ERA. Double-A; 5 starts with a 6.56 ERA

Draft: Selected 22nd overall by the Detroit Tigers in the 2015 MLB Draft.

With Baseball Factory: 2012- National Tryout, Team One Futures Series event (Both in Texas/2012); 2014 Under Armour All-America Game.

Foster Griffin: LHP, AA, Kansas City Royals

Minor League Career: 19-25 with a 4.48 ERA in 76 starts.

This Year: 9-3 with a 2.49 ERA in 16 starts between Advanced Single-A and Double-A.

Draft: Selected 28th overall by the Kansas City Royals in the 2014 MLB Draft.

With Baseball Factory: 2013 Under Armour All-America Game.

Jimmy Herget: RHP, AAA, Cincinnati Reds

Minor League Career: 8-7 with a 2.35 ERA in 104 games.

This Year: 1-3 with a 2.70 ERA in 30 games between Double-A and Triple-A.

Draft: Selected in the 6th round (175th Overall) by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2015 MLB Draft.

With Baseball Factory: National Tryout in Tampa, FL in 2011.

Brent Honeywell: RHP, AAA, Tampa Bay Rays

Minor League Career: 26-18 with a 3.03 ERA in 69 games (68 starts).

This Year: 8-8 with a 4.48 ERA in 16 starts between Double-A and Triple-A.

Draft: Selected in the 2nd round (72nd overall) by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2014 MLB Draft.

With Baseball Factory: National Tryout in Atlanta, GA in 2011; 2013 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament.

Michael Kopech: RHP, AA, Chicago White Sox

Minor League Career: 12-12 with a 3.00 ERA in 51 games (50 starts).

This Year: 4-5 with a 3.72 ERA in 15 starts in Double-A.

Draft: Selected 33rd overall by the Boston Red Sox in the 2014 MLB Draft.

With Baseball Factory: National Tryout in Dallas, TX in 2012; 2013 Under Armour All-America Game.

Triston McKenzie: RHP, A+, Cleveland Indians

Minor League Career: 13-10 with a 2.28 ERA in 34 games (33 starts).

This Year: 6-4 with a 3.16 ERA in 15 starts in Advanced Single-A.

Draft: Selected 42nd overall by the Cleveland Indians in the 2015 MLB Draft.

Chance Sisco: C, AAA, Baltimore Orioles

Draft: Selected in the 2nd round (61st overall) by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2013 MLB Draft.

Bo Bichette: SS, A+, Toronto Blue Jays

Minor League Career: .406 BA with 13 HR and 84 RBI in 85 games.

Draft: Selected in the 2nd round (66th overall) by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2016 MLB Draft.

Draft: Selected 3rd overall by the Colorado Rockies in the 2015 MLB Draft.
