Allan checks all the boxes of a legitimate starting pitching prospect. He has a strong, durable frame (6’3”/225) that can eat up innings. He has a repeatable delivery with balance and athleticism throughout. He is a strike thrower. He competes…and he has a quality three-pitch arsenal.
Matthew’s best pitch is a heavy low 90s fastball that touches higher and comes from a clean, easy arm stroke. He complements that with a quality breaking ball that has 2-plane break and depth, as well as a change that has some fade and is thrown with good arm speed.
Look for this big RHP to aggressively challenge hitters when he takes the mound at Wrigley Field on July 20th.
