Alek Boychuk embodies what you look for in a catcher – a strong, durable frame, high-level receiving and blocking skills, arm strength, leadership and unselfishness. He also plays with excellent energy, works well pitchers and adds in a solid line drive stroke to round out his skill set.

Boychuk earned First-Team All-County honors locally after he hit .304 with five home runs, 34 RBIs, and a .964 OPS, helping his Hawks squad to a berth in the Class AAAAAAA state state quarterfinals in Georgia.
