Christopher Williams Shows Top Three 2018 OF Arm in Georgia

2018 OF Christopher Williams

At the Douglasville, GA Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout, Christopher Williams (Woodstock, GA) touched 90 mph raw to tie for third place among 2018 graduates, with only seven players between he and the top mark of 93 mph. A left-handed hitter with a high-waisted 6-foot, 180 pound frame, Williams also qualified among the leaders in his class with an 87 mph exit velocity.

2018 OF Trenton Parker

A couple of ticks back of Williams was fellow 2018 OF Trenton Parker (Hiram, GA). He stands an inch taller at 6-foot-1, hit from the right side of the plate, and entered a group of eleven players tied for the fifth highest raw velocity among 2018 graduates at 88 mph.

Though there are a lot of players between he and the top of leaderboard, 3B Garrison Harless (Columbus, GA) technically moved inside the 2018 top ten at 86 mph, earning his second such distinction — his 89 mph exit velocity was good for a tie for tenth among 2018 graduates.

Among the most talented all-around players we saw over the weekend was 2018 3B Jared Lorenz (McGregor, TX). He qualified among 2018 leaders in three categories, including raw velocity at 85 mph. His 90 mph exit velocity moved him inside the that top ten, while his 6.81 60 yard dash put him inside the top twenty runners in the class of 2018.

Among 2019 graduates, only nine players stand between RHP/SS Hayden Keidl (Abilene, TX) and the class leader at 87 mph. Keidl qualified among 2019 leaders in four categories, joining C Caleb Munton — a fellow Abilene resident — in this exceedingly rare accomplishment. In addition to 84 mph raw velocity, Keidl posted 85 mph exit velocity, ran 7.00 in the 60 yard dash, and touched 79 mph with his fastball.

SS Treyton Jacobson (Estherville, IA) and SS Noah King (Roswell, GA) qualified among 2018 leaders at 84 mph, while seven 2019 graduates were added to the leaderboard.

1B Edward Eakin (Killeen, TX) posted 82 mph raw velocity along with 89 mph exit velocity, while SS Spencer Young (Belton, TX) recorded 81 mph raw velocity and ran 6.97 in the 60 yard dash.

C Easton Brehm (Mansfield, TX) and 3B Blake Decker (Flowery Branch, GA) reached 80 mph raw velocity. Brehm added a low pop time of 2.22 and 80 mph exit velocity to qualify among 2019 leaders in three total categories, while Decker joined exit velocity leaders at 82 mph.

3B Ulises Tovar (Buda, TX) qualified among 2019 leaders at 80 mph raw and 81 mph exit velocity, as did SS Kameron Guidry (Snellville, GA) at 79 mph and 85 mph respectively. The previously mentioned C Caleb Munton (Abilene, TX) rounded out raw velocity qualifiers at 78 mph — we’ve now seen him on that number twice in the last two months.
