Omaha Training and Tournament Day 6 Recap
Day 6
At the conclusion of pool play at the Triple Crown World Series Tournament, three Baseball Factory teams have advanced into the Championship bracket (Baseball Factory Black, Red, and Green). The Green team is featured under the Factory Blog spotlight below.
Factory Blog Spotlight…
Team Green is coached by Baseball Factory veteran, Mike Zolecki and assisted by Rob Allison. Mike has been coaching and teaching at Baseball Factory events for the past 5 years. Mike is the current head coach at Cardinal Stritch University and is a former AA pitcher for the Rockies and White Sox. Mike was a 5th Round draft pick of the Rockies in 1993 out of St. Mary's University in TX where he helped to lead them to the NAIA World Series. Rob Allison is the former Head Coach at Muscatine Community College and now serves as the assistant coach at Iowa Western CC. Rob played his college baseball at Morningside college and Westmar University where we was an All-American. The Green team has terrific chemistry and have really bonded as a group. The players have expressed an interest to try and come back and compete again as a group at the 2008 Omaha tournament.
