Blaze is an athletic infielder with quick feet, soft hands and the best arm strength in the class. At this June’s National Florida Showcase event, Blaze matched his arm with his name, showing a crazy 96 mph arm velocity across the diamond and was crisp on double plays with great quickness around the bag. His plus arm allows him to make all the throws necessary to stay at shortstop at higher levels.
At the plate he has a coordinated right-handed stroke with some hand speed that can lead to flashes of power to the pull side. Also a 6.60 runner with instincts on the bases, Blaze has a complete all-around game. Committed to South Carolina.
