Jake Eder

Projectable left-handed pitchers with big upside are always in demand. That is exactly what Jake Eder is. His thin 6’4” frame will continue to fill out and his already high-level stuff will continue to be refined.

Jake gets downhill plane on his fastball that sits in the upper 80s/ low 90s and he throws it to both sides of plate. His delivery is coordinated and has rhythm and his arm is clean and extremely quick. All of this points to higher velocity numbers in the future. He throws a curveball with ¾ tilt and some depth to it, and also has feel for his changeup.

His slight cross-fire delivery adds to the deception from this lefty. He has the arm stroke, delivery and 3-pitch mix of a future starter at a high level. The arrow is definitely pointing up on him.
