There are not many better profiles to have than the one Ethan Hearn possesses – a left-handed hitting catcher. Add in the raw tools that are present – power (92 mph exit velocity) and arm strength (97 mph raw velocity), and you have a special prospect.

Ethan has present strength and a coordinated move through contact that generates excellent bat speed in his short LH stroke. The ball jumps off his barrel and he has the ability to drive balls well out of the park to RF.

Behind the plate, his arm strength and athleticism (6.97 in the 60) lead to throws as low as 1.80 to 2B. He moves well, is flexible, and is solid on balls in the dirt. Overall, the prospect of a catcher who is a run producer that can hit in the middle of an order is very appealing.
