Gunnar Henderson has one of the sweetest left-handed swings in the 2019 class. He looks natural and “hitterish” in all that he does in the batter’s box. His set-up is comfortable and athletic, and he has rhythm and balance throughout his stroke. Gunnar has excellent eye/hand coordination, seemingly getting the barrel to every pitch with ease. He flashes some occasional power that will continue to flourish with added strength.
On the defensive side, Gunnar can play all over the infield, with 3B looking to be his best long-term spot. He has good instincts and feet to go along with sure hands. His infield actions are natural, and he has plenty of arm for the left side of the diamond.
This Under Armour All-American is already a talented prospect who looks to have another big move forward on the horizon.
