Christopher Troye

At 6’4” and 210 pounds, catcher Christopher Troye is a physical specimen that, despite the large frame, is very flexible behind the plate. He sits well, receiving with soft hands and a strong wrist. He has an extremely strong arm from an overhand slot that leads to true carry through second base. His times were as low as 1.78 thanks to that arm strength, a clean exchange and quick feet.

At the plate, Christopher has a quick, short stroke that goes from quiet to controlled violence in a hurry. The ball jumps off his bat with backspin and he shows the ability to drive the ball to all fields. His approach is on-time and he has good barrel accuracy.

Christopher’s frame and skill set at a premium position are hard to find and extremely desirable. On top of it all, he’s athletic with other solid measurables – 7.09 in the 60, 91 mph arm strength and 90 mph exit velocity. Look for him to emerge on the national scene in Chicago.
